Elaine Karen Deluxe Reversible Chair Furniture Protector, Black/Taupe

I like these sofa/chair protectors but, like other reviews, they dont tend to stay in place as well as others that I have had in the past. They do the job tho..and protect the furniture from our dog who loves to sleep ont he couch, from getting that "Doggy smell"......as soon as i notice the covers are starting to smell like our dog, i throw them in the wash, and once I put them back on, everything smells fresh and clean.....Yes, you WILL have to re-adjust them daily...but to me, that's worth the trade off instead of having my furniture smell like dog! When company comes, I remove the covers and our furniture, that is just over a year and a half old looks great. I do recommend these, if you're looking for a "protector", (its going to shift when you sit on it, but it only takes a minute or so to readjust them and get them back into place) you will get a good protector......I bought a more expensive brand prior to this, and it shifted as well.....I will re-order a second set to have on hand as with daily use, these tend to start to wear out after a year or so........to me, they are worth the money, i dont find thematerial to be thin or flimsy at all as i've read in some of the reviews. I love the olive color that i ordered, the reverse side is a bit more yellow than sage,that it looks on here but still will work with my decor.......altho i do prefer using the olive side most of the time. The olive is true to color as advertised on here....for the money this was well worth the investment if you're looking for a good protector!

I purchased the Zephyr/Taupe style and absolutely love the design. It is true to the picture. Item went straight from the box to the couch. Good material, sturdy quilting. Without hot ironing item, it is closer to 64-1/2'' than to 65''. Also the arm covers measure just over 21'' in width(front to back). Since my seating area of my couch runs 70'' this doesn't cover it completely however I tuck the arm covers under my cushions which covers the practically all of the end cushions that the center fabric misses(see pic). Also, my dog stays in the middle primarily so this isn't a real concern. I never have liked the look of the arm covers dangling out, so as I stated before I tuck them under the cushions which also doubles as a stabilizer to prevent the seated area from shifting as much. It appears the company has added a hoop and hook design so that you can better attach the back portion to the couch. Unfortunately my couch is just short enough that the hoop of the backing sit directly on top of the couch, deeming it useless for me. Also, since my couch is beige, the black elastic strap is an eye sore. But it's still nice to have just incase. I have attached photos to give you an idea of what it would look like if you are interested. I would recommend to the company that they add a few more of these hoops (ie 2 on each end of each side of the seat area) so that you are able to better prevent the fabric from slipping; and to make the elastic strap and hoops the same color as the primary solid side of each cover. Overall I am absolutely in love. Would recommend to others. Would buy again.

I ordered the Deluxe Reversible Sofa Furniture Protector because I have light colored couches that my dogs like to sit on. They are frequently in and out of the house and their feet are often wet and/or dirty. Previously we covered the couches with a sheet. I wanted something heavier that would offer more protection. I like the Deluxe Reversible Sofa Furniture Protector because it is made of a heavy quilted fabric that does a great job protecting our couches from the dogs, and also the messy humans in our home. I don't use the elastic straps. They don't work on my couches. The Protectors do have to be readjusted frequently --like every time you sit on them. If you want something that fits more securely to the couch, you probably want to invest in actual couch covers. For the price point, these serve their purpose well. When guests come over, I quickly remove the covers, and, Viola! clean couches to sit on! I toss them in the laundry room where I have washed them at least 4 times in the short time that I have owned them. They come out of the dryer looking like new every time. I give them 5 stars for washability. I have included 4 photos of what the Protectors the typically look like in my home. The first 2 properly attached (used the elastic straps). The 3rd photo is after my teenage son laid on one and watched a movie (elastic straps still in use).

Enjoy this product so much I bought another one so I can throw one in the wash and immediately have another on the couch before the damn cat stakes his claim. My couch is fairly firm and does not have detachable cushions so I feel this works best for this type of sofa. I would think that a more plush, “sink when you sit” style sofa would require you to constantly re-adjust the cover. Also, the strap was too short to stretch the length of my couch, so lost one star for that though it still stays in place and there has been a minuscule amount of pilling from the fabric batting inside the layers coming out but not enough to bug me. I would like to point out that this item is not stitched in the waffle pattern you see. It’s actually (I would guess) heat stamped together...? Again, not a big deal to me and it’s held up so far (both that I bought) with several months of usage, alternating between the two that I purchased of the same style.
