It seems that you cannot fail to make a good expresso when you make it in these cups! Don't know why - something to do with the size and the thickness of the bottom, I think. Whatever, they work really well. We are very pleased with our purchase and would definitely recommend these over the thin, porcelain espresso cups you can get. Thin cups are best for tea - not coffee (well, certainly not good espresso). Thanks!
