Q: Would these fit a 5 year old?

It comes with 5 different sized ear pieces and the smallest look pretty small. But I have fairly large ears and use the medium sized ones. I tried the larger ones and the seal would frequently break. My kids use the over the ear style. I would recommend them unless there is a reason more than esthetics for the in ear style. Unless they’re really sensitive to sound and are going to notice if the seal breaks, it’s going to be tough to tell how well they’re fitting vs. an over the ear style where you can see them falling off.
