The ABCs of Violin for the Absolute Beginner Book

The book starts from complete basics. The exercises and tunes in the book are all numbered, so it is easy to set work for my pupil to do during the week.The "warm-up" exercises are useful for teaching fingering and can also be used for bowing. The CD which comes with the book will also be useful. I have not used it yet, but expect it to be useful later.

As a teacher, I have always found it difficult finding a beginner violin book for adult learners. This is great because it does not contain kid-friendly pictures and many of the tunes are original compositions. It is quite a fast-moving book, so may not be suitable for very young children. But it's perfect for adults and older children.

This comes with a code to download the piano music and MP3, I have the piano music, but the MP£ download will not open on any device I have so I am having to hope that I am playing in tune or getting it right. Other than that the book seems good.

I learnt the basics pretty quickly using this book, great method book for learning violin.
