Unpretentious Pumpkin Powder, 1 Gallon, Baking & Food Additive, Superfood, Pure Pumpkin (4.5 Pound)

So let me start with I’ve tried several other brands of pumpkin powder. They were either not 100% pumpkin(apple being the other ingredient most added) or they just flat out didn’t have a scent or taste. I also have dealt with brands that were aqua phobic and took ages to mix.NONE of those issues I’ve had are found in this one! Not only is it a huge supply, but it smells like pumpkin as soon as you open the lid, dissolves in water quickly, and tastes like pumpkin. The only “issue” and it’s not really an issue is that it can be clumpy coming out of the bin. But they break up easily with a spoon or fork and are completely gone when pushed thru a mesh strainer.I use this primarily for my three dogs, as I have two senior pups that need their insides well greased(pumpkin helps dogs have regular and easy bowel movements) and one diva of a service dog who is my basic b!tch and loves everything pumpkin and coconut. The fact that it’s healthy for her is strictly a bonus.Side note: it’s also good for cats at preventing hairball build up. And if your dog is constipated or has diarrhea, pumpkin will be your best friend. The former you water down and max out the amount they can have(contact your vet for advice) and the latter you mix with plain white rice.I also use it for myself as I am also a basic b!tch and pumpkin EVERYTHING 🎃😈 is my jam. I’ve mixed this with spices to flavor both black coffee and my plain creamer. I’ve added it to my yogurt for a flavor and health boost. And I used it to add that fall feel to some homemade mulled wine and a rather delicious mulled rum I’m very proud of.Pumpkin is good for people as well, containing vitamins C and E, iron, and folate(folic acid), which all strengthen your immune system. It also aids in wound healing.This product has really exceeded my expectations and I’m so glad I found this brand and company. I’ve talked with their customer service and they were so helpful and incredibly sweet. This giant bin will last me a while but I will definitely be buying from this company again!

Have not used this product for personal cooking/baking - only as a dog food additive. For that, doggie loves it and it has the desired effect on his waste product. No more constipation, or worse, loose excretions. I had been purchasing the small containers of this pumpkin powder that are labeled and sold for this use. Purchasing this larger container is a real COST SAVINGS! Have only purchased this once so far, or needed to (unlike the small containers), so I will be anxious to see if the quality is consistent on the next order. My expectation is that it will be the same high quality.As a doing food additive - Simply add a tablespoon or two to your dog's wet food, then stir in some warm water until it's a little soupy. Mixture will firm up some in about a minute. Then relax and enjoy the end result in your dog's bag. No more hunkering and walking for several feet, straining to go. This is much easier than trying to use canned pumpkin as an additive, and as I said, my dog loves it.

This starts out clumpy when reconstituting but sets up well after a few hours in the fridge. The clumps soften & mix right in. Texture is slightly thicker & not as "fluffy" as canned pumpkin but works just as well. Also tastes & smells the same.

How shall I put this delicately? My 10-year-old dog started having issues with loosey-goosey digestion. Poor thing. After doing some research, I began adding 1 teaspoon of this pumpkin powder to her breakfast and dinner and mixing it well. It took 24 hours and the ongoing problem resolved. She loves the taste, and I love the result. Win win!

While it’s nice to get a larger supply, I’m disappointed that it is full of lumps. Not sure if it’s a packaging or production issue, but in order to measure properly you need to break up the lumps which is annoying and time consuming.

I love this product. I am a long term foster for canine rescues. I presently have 12 and they all get a little pumpkin with every meal to keep their bowels healthy. I also give them a few other items lol nutritional value to provide a healthier diet than just dog food. But this has saved me money and it’s much healthier than canned pumpkin. This powdered version allows me to make what I need as I need it. Love it! I will be a for always customer😃

Sometimes a girl needs to have access to an insane amount of dried pumpkin, and here we are. Great product, a nice fine grind and good earthy smell. I use it in dog treats, so I can't say how it rehydrates for use as a paste. The bucket is great for storage. The pumpkin inside came as one giant block (which is actually a good thing, for those complain, because it means there aren't any anti-caking components being used; just straight up pumpkin). Very easy to chip off the amount you need because of the high quality, soft grind.

This is the second time we purchased this. It works well for our dogs. We make as much as we need. When pumpkin is on sale during the fall holidays, we purchase extra cans. Otherwise off season this is the best deal. When mixing with adding powder first and add water gradually until you get the thickness you are looking for.
