Simple and Fun!
I've never seen the ice technique for tie dye and it's so cool!!!The directions were clear and so easy to follow. My niece needed a little adult supervision, mostly to prevent messes. She did it all on her own and of course felt great about creating something all by herself and the headbands being adorable didn't hurt. There are 5 headbands total so this could be a fun group project for a sleepover or cousins get together.I really liked how the kit came with disposable gloves. The headbands were not stretchy like we expected but still worked great. They are probably best for ages 6-11. If you don't want a headband, you can always ice dye a tshirt or socks. There is plenty of powdered dye. This kit is a great gift or project for a small girl. My niece had lots of fun with this project.

Fun activity to do with the kids
This was a fun activity that my kids really enjoyed. The kit comes with a reusable heart ice tray, 5 headbands (2 patterned and 3 no pattern), several colors of dye, the dying tray, and some items to keep things clean (plastic sheet, plastic gloves). We filled the tray with ice, and let freeze overnight. The next day, picked out 2 headbands and put them in the dying tray. Covered with ice, and put on some dye.The dye looked really cool as it slowly melted and changed the headband colors.Once the ice is all melted, you simply drain the melted ice from the bottom tray and rise off the headband. My kids liked that it was a fun activity, and they "got" something to use in the end. They also like making heart ice cubes for their water. Going to try adding heart shaped frozen orange juice added into clear soda (sprite or other), that should look cool.Overall, I highly recommend!

Fun kit. Don't put the tray into microwave to speed up the process.
This was fun to do together with my 5 year old. Instructions are easy. We felt like the ice cube tray provided does not make enough ice to cover the headbands so we added additional crushed ice. However some of the colors dominated (pinks in our case), so maybe, we had too much ice. We will try next one with just the ice provided. There was a quality issue with our set. One of the headbands had a red marker line across it and there was a lemon seed stuck to another. Are these soaked in lemon juice to set the colors? The set comes with everything needed, even a table cover plastic sheet. We found the gloves provided too big for a child. They fit my hand perfectly though. In the end the headband came out pretty, but not as vibrant in color as I hoped. Still, it was fun to do and we are looking forward to make more.UPDATE 01/23/2023:I am sure this is common sense to most (I had my "DUH" moment yesterday) but don't put the plastic tray in the microwave. I had this "brilliant" idea to put the whole thing into a microwave to speed up the melting ice process and hoping that the heat would set the colors in better. It completely melted the trays! Luckily the headbands still turned out nice and I did not have to face my daughter's tears. But we still have 2 more headbands left to do. I will have to rig something up with disposable food containers.Oh and one of the headbands that had a red marking on it turned out fine, must have been washable. I don't see any evidence of the mark after we tie dyed it.

Adorable fun project!
Such a fun project for the tiny humans!Obviously because it’s tie dye it is bound to get messy so I would recommend doing it outside. The hardest part for the girls was waiting for the heart shaped ice cube tray to freeze but closely followed by waiting for the adorable great shaped ice to melt lol.Thank goodness there a color coded stickers on the outside of the powder jars because they look nothing like what they turn into. It was a fun conversation about science and how that’s possible too!The kit comes with five headbands but be aware it’s not a stretchy headband, more like a cotton ribbon to tie around your head. The girls of course all wanted to one printed like a mermaid tail so we decided to gift that one away.Overall it was so cute and fun and I’d absolutely buy it again for my family or as a gift for others!!

Fun Rainy Day Activity or Gift
This was a pretty cool kit. Think of tie dye, but using ice instead. We found out that you really have to separate out the dye and make sure that there is even coverage over the ice. This is a project that will take all day from freezing the ice to then watching it melt, so it will take a little bit of patience and is not an immediate result, but according to my daughter it was worth the wait. She thought it was really cool how the different patterns turned out. Would serve as a great birthday or holiday gift, or a fun rainy day activity. Everything is included (well, except for the ice but there's a cute mold for that!) that you need to make this project, even a table cover and gloves.

Works as advertised, but plan for two trays' worth of little ice cubes
We loved how easy it was to understand the instructions and apply them. Our six-year-old was able to do most of it herself, and the included gloves worked well for her. The dyes spread well, so you don't need very much. You'll have to plan to freeze two trays' worth of heart-shaped ice cube molds if you want to use those as your only ice cube option; one tray's worth wasn't sufficient to cover an entire headband. We substituted standard ice cubes from our freezer, and that worked fine. The color has stayed so far, even right after finishing, but we aren't going to risk washing this with other laundry or anything. This worked as advertised and was better than expected! It would make a good gift.

Everything you need
This set includes everything you need for this intriguing craft, including instructions. I had never heard of this kind of fabric decoration before, and it was great for me and my teenage granddaughter to do together. There's an ice cube tray, dye, and a set of headbands in substantial cotton, some printed and some plain. It's all contained in a nice box. Great for a gift or for a friends and family group project.
