OAL-BB 50: 50 Years of BMW Alpina Automobiles Hardcover – Illustrated, 1 Nov. 2016

Great book by Delius Klasing as usual. It is the official book of the history of the german tuner and car manufacturer Alpina, strictly related to the bigger and more notorious brand BMW. It is very large in size and quite detailed as well, you will for sure appreciate the numerous wonderful pictures. I have only one little complaint about this book, it lacks a bit of coherence throughout the pages and isn't very well organized into chapters, but apart from that, it is an overall stunning coffee table book.

You have to look at this with a European eye, the presentation whilst not easily read by this typical Yorkshireman, is however very typical of mainland European motoring literature presented in different languages; pages are columnised, if indeed that is a word, to present the same story from differing personal view points in both English and German, with priority given to the German reader.I expected a better model breakdown in truth as I was looking back with a fond eye of past vehicles I'd owned and, as previously commented, it's a great shame this wasn't done. That said, it's an enjoyable read, tracing a brief history and very well presented for the market aimed for.I received mine excellently packed and to be honest there's nothing quite like a nostalgic read with the smell of a new book and fresh coffee.Many thanks to the supplier.

Alpina's magnum opus is fabulous!

Ce livre est très complet et très épais. On peut y apprendre énormément d'informations sur l'histoire d'Alpina.En revanche, il est donc en anglais et en allemand. Attention pour les français comme moi car il y a souvent des termes techniques qui sont difficiles à traduire.Petit bémol : le livre manque de photos. Il y en a quelques unes à la fin du livre mais pas assez tout au long du livre. Or comme le livre est quand même assez difficile à lire en français, il aurait été plus digeste d'avoir des photos au cours de la lecture.Sinon, ce livre est vraiment un best of à avoir dans sa bibliothèque pour les fans de BMW et de ce préparateur.

It's a great book full of information throughout the years. Along with classic and modern pictures of mostly all the cars. It's clearly translated but not so much that it makes it unreadable. Best part is it has a list in the back with all the numbers to match your Alpina to and see how many were built. A must for Alpina enthusiasts.

Sehr schönes Buch. Ich dachte ich weiss schon viel aber auch hier war neues drin. Wenn die Kumpels kommen nimmt es immer mal wieder einer aus dem Bücher Regal.

以前から欲しかったALPINA記念本です。今回、車購入に合わせて購入しました。読み応えのある内容ですのでじっくり時間をかけて読みたいと思います。製本もしっかりしています。
