Side sleeper is happy!
Oh how I love my foamy! I used to be able to sleep on all manner of beds from air mattresses to cots. But these days I really do need comfort for a solid night of sleep. I usually camp in an RV but I do a lot of off-roading where I need to tent camp. What can I say but the RV made me realize how comfortable camping can be. I’m a side sleeper, so it’s important to have some cushion on my hips - especially on a hard surface. The Hest Foamy was a perfect match for my needs. I’ve been using it for rally training out in the desert in my tent, directly on the ground; all while nursing a disc issue in my back. I consider it a great success! I’ll note that I am 5’4” and opted for the shorter version. If I was any taller, I would definitely go larger. My feet do hang off the end a tiny bit when stretched out. Overall I couldn’t be happier!

Nice Mattress
****Update ****I just finished eight nights sleeping on this mattress. I’m impressed. I used the mattress in conjunction with a camping cot: the SportNear Camping Cot:https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B087TBL69C?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_titlewith basic sheets and light blanket. I almost looked forward to going to bed each night!I love camping but I hate sleeping in an uncomfortable bed. It’s the weak link in camping for me! At some point in the night, with all the discomfort of a terrible sleeping arrangement, you’ll be willing to pay a thousand for a good night’s sleep. Spend where it counts and you’ll wake up RESTED and grateful. If you camp often, spend it and get the right gear. Your body will thank you.*****Original Post:I paid a lot of money for this mattress and its bedding. I’ve yet to use it camping but I can say this mattress is made well and provides the support and comfort I am seeking.I’m 6’2” and weigh 215lbs. and I don’t bottom out or overhang the mattress and it is noticeably comfortable. The sheets are high quality adding comfort and wicking along a fair price.I bought the 78” version of this mattress and sheet.

Super comfortable
This camp mattress is pricey and does take up some room, but it is so well worth it. It is very comfortable to sleep on—even helped with back and hip pain in our case—and we quickly got better at rolling it up more compactly. Recommend and would buy again.

So big, so comfy
There's no getting around it--these are bulky. They are for car camping or glamping. They take up lots of space in the car, and they're sort of heavy.HOWEVERWow are these comfy. Incredible. I have never had a good night sleeping while camping. I've used fancy backpacking mattresses, regular air mattresses...these are AMAZING. I felt like I was sleeping at home in a real bed. One night while camping, I had to share this mattress with a kid and it still felt great. It was also much easier to the unroll the mattress than have to inflate/deflate. Of course, that means they take up more room. But the comfort makes is to worth it.

Wonderful mattress
I used this for a week recently and loved it. I’ve learned to sleep on my back but even when I rolled on my side I was still very comfortable. I like the way it rolls up and stores. It’s big and bulky to carry but worth it for the comfort. I recommend this product.

Comfortable with a cot or air mattress
The foam they use for this pad is unbelievably soft -- like a cloud. And, as long as you're using it in conjunction with a cot or an additional sleeping pad underneath it, it's very comfortable. However, it is advertised as being a stand alone sleeping pad, and at this excruciating price-point, I would expect it to perform as advertised. The issue is that they used that luxuriously soft foam all the way through, without taking the care to put a layer of firmer foam on the bottom to prevent you from sinking so far into the soft foam, that you hit the ground... So when you use this pad by itself, without a cot or additional sleeping pad, your hips and shoulders hit the ground, which obviously starts to hurt after a few minutes of laying on it.I am keeping mine, since I have a cot to use it with. And it is very comfortable with the cot... But I do feel like, at this high of a price-point, that you shouldn't NEED a cot for the pad to be comfortable. That's why I'm only giving it 3-stars. It's comfortable, with assistance from other sleep pads.

Replaced my actual bed with this
Pros:-Incredibly comfortable-When on a cot keeps cool air from coming up through the cot-Tough tarp like bottom and soft sheet like sleeping surface is removable and washable-fit perfectly ontop of my lightweight nature hike cot-you can daisy chain these together to make a custom mattressCons:-if you thought you could back pack it forget it, even rolled up its huge.-With the slimmer profile my elbows hang over the edge, if you like sleeping on your back I recommend the larger one-if your taller than 6ft prepare to dangle-If you drink to much soy rolling up the mat might be difficult but if you simply grip it tightly it's no big deal.As stated above, I replaced my temperpedic with this. Truth be told it's in storage while I stay with family before a big move, and I was tired of the spare futon as greatfull as I was for it. I like to camp sometimes so I thought I'd give it a try. Very glad I did.
