Caraselle Microwave Steamer with Adjustable Vented Lid

Love this for vegetables. So good. Excellent quality and value for money.

We have used one of these steamers for years. Very sturdy and safe to use. This second purchase enables one to cook vegetables immediately after fresh fish (for instance), thereby further reducing the need to use the hob in these straightened times. Food stays hot for a long time enabling meal "assembly".

I got this to replace another steamer that I had for years. It is very similar except that it would be useful to have handles to remove the middle layer from the base. It gets hot in the microwave and it difficult to empty the water out of before serving the food. I would have given it 5 stars if not for this oversight.

This product is a must. Your veg is done far quicker and more healthier. Plus it saves on energy bills. Taste is better plus cleaning the container is easier.

Firstly, the product in the picture you see here appears to be the older more robust design, not the new flimsy product you will get. This is the third tray I have had from this company over the past twenty years. The previous two were excellent and very well used. But i was dismayed to find that afer i accidently damaged the last one, the new ones have been reenginineered with super thin plastic. To give you an idea, the plastic seems thinner or as thin as the plastic trays you get with microwave meals. The lid now does not fit well, and when you lift the item, the tray for the food and the lid are very easily displaced, and the base buckles, as it is so thin. I got scalded with boiling hot water when this happened. The plastic is now so thin that it is also very hot to handle unlike the old ones. For these reasons i would say the product is frankly dangerous, and you can get burnt and scalded. To the manufacturers i say, please go back to your old design with durable plastics rather than this cheap rubbish. To the buyer I recommend do not buy under any cricumstances unless you want to get scalded by the water and contents after microwaving.

Very easy to use. Vegetables .and potatoes taste tadte delicous. No more boiling in a pan and losng all the goodmess. Great product
