TIP: these are pretty big filters and add weight to your shower head. It is possible to connect these under your bath like I have done, or even in your airing cupboard where pipework is probably more accessible. Just buy some push fit fittings, 15mm to 1/2 and a 15mm straight coupler, I used copper as i had one spare. and its fairly straight forward to install. An advantage of this is it will also filter your bath water as well as your shower. However, you will need 2 filters one cold and one hot supply.TIP: One of the internal rubber washers had moved on mine so I had to push it back in. This would have caused a leak and is mentioned in the instructions, so read them.I live in London and the water is hard and often smells of chlorine. This plays havoc with my skin so I have all kinds of magnet contraptions to reduce the limescale which do work but don't remove the chlorine.I discovered these on Amazon and thought I would give them a go.I installed under my bath onto my pv pipework using simple push fit fittings.I can honestly the say like a Brita filter you can notice the difference straight away. The chlorine smell is gone which means my family are no longer breathing this in. In terms of my skin, its not instantly silky smooth but there is already a noticeable difference on the dry skin on my arms. Seems to work quite well. Only have had it for less than a month so can't comment too much on longevity. Seems to be a bit better than the regular water for my hair but hasn't made a HUGE difference. I do think it may lose its effectiveness quick.For preventing dry brittle hair with the hard water in England -- the best I have found is always to boil/filter water and then rinse hair out, or use natural spring water from bottles to keep hair hydrated and healthy.

The subject of water quality is a massive subject at the momment. Incompetent governance , in addition to the build up of years of harmful toxins in the water that is readily available to us through our taps, means that we really need to implement measures to ensure that the water we consume (drink and wash in) is filtered through our own preventative measures.There at least 12 toxins which exist in our drinking water. Some of these nasty contaminants include but are not limited to Fluoride, Chlorine, Lead, Mercury in addition to others.With the above in mind, I decided to invest in this water filter after reading the reviews. The product utilises 15 stages of filtration to ensure the output water is highly purified.My own personal experience:The filter is very quick and easy to install and I’m sure it’s compatible with most shower attachments. I didn’t take me very long to install but you must ensure that steps are taken using what is provided with item, to ensure there is no water leakage.Secondly, I made an impressive discovery that I did loose significantly less hair. I routinely wash my long hair and I noticed a massive decline in hair loss. I strongly believe this is due to the removal of contaminants from the water. If you research the causal link between hair loss and water contaminants, it is evident that hair loss can be caused by contaminants such as heavy metals.I look forward to purchasing more of your filters to install in other shower areas of my home.I would also strongly recommend that amazon shoppers purchase a water filter for their kitchen tap.Overall an excellent product which I believe is highly effective!!

Poor quality item and would not buy again.

This filter really works, I can see the difference very fast. I could notice the difference in my skin on the first try. My skin gets really dry after a bath, but not that much after applying the filter. I also want to do a test to prove it even better, which is the dried water drops on my shower glass. Due to high limescale in water, once they dry out in the glass, you can see the white stains, so for this test, I need a couple more shower to prove it out, but I'm sure I will see the difference.My girlfriend already says she sees the difference in her hair.On the application, a couple of tips: use the rubbers and the tape that come in the package to make sure water does not come out from the side or from the top, you have to make sure that is really well isolated.It looks great! It's still a very minimalistic shower and that's great! 5 stars
