I love my Command strips — I use them for everything, especially in rental homes or apartments where I want to avoid damaging walls. They’ve become my go-to for hanging décor, organizing spaces, and even small shelves. One thing I’ve definitely learned: follow the weight and application guidelines. If you do, they work exactly as promised. They’re super easy to apply, hold strong, and remove cleanly with no mess. Can’t recommend them enough for anyone who wants flexibility without the damage!

I design various parts for things around the home or other projects, which I then 3D print, some of which end up hanging on a wall. My go-to solution for wall mounting most things are these large 3M command strips, which, as long as there is enough of a tab sticking out, are easily removed. My latest design was a simple remote control holder which mounted to a wall using these large command strips, and it worked perfectly. The primary benefit from these command strips is of course that they stick well, but can be removed without ripping up a wall. That is only the case though, if there is enough of a tab sticking out that can be grabbed and pulled straight down (or up), to release the tape. If that tab breaks or there is not enough of it sticking out to grip, it is just like using regular foam double sided tape, and will likely damage the wall when removed (which has happened a couple times to me). So just keep that in mind when placing the strips, and don't cover the tabs where they cannot be accessed to remove the strips. I think they could improve the design by adding a reinforced hole in the tab that could be hooked with a flat tool to pull down and remove, or possibly just add some texturing to the tabs to make them easier to grip, since being unable to grip the tabs when removing the strips has been my only issue.

Command makes great products. I have using these wall stickers for years. I use these to hold lightweight shelves with less 2lbs. These are easy apply and you only gave to wait a hour to continue. I don't have to worry about my things falling like with other off brand strips.

We have used Command hooks and Command strips to hang our Christmas stockings for more than 15 years; ever since they were first invented, in fact. Santa puts a LOT of HEAVY stuff in our stockings and the heavy duty hooks with these refill strips keep our stockings attached to the fireplace throughout the holiday season. Even when we have a fire burning every night, these little babies hang on tight. When the season is over, and it’s time for the stockings to come down, we simply pull on that magic little tab at the bottom, and they come right off the wall without leaving a mark. Can’t say enough good things about Command hooks and refill strips! Don’t be fooled by the imitations. We were out of refill strips this year and Amazon couldn’t get us these strips right away, so I ordered some of the imitation ones to use temporarily until the real thing came in. What a mistake. Hooks and stockings were flying off the wall from the heat left and right. But then we couldn’t get the super sticky oversized strips off the wall. That off-brand SUCKED! There is no substitute for the real thing! Insist on Command BRAND refills every time!
