Is this product the same as the one shown, as a buyer has said they received a different one?

The one shown is identical to the one we got. If it helps the dimensions are: 260mm in diameter and 115mm high (with the spinner knob on the top in its closed position). And my wife rates it as the best salad spinner she's ever had!Hope this helps.

Google states Oxo products are made in VIRGINIA.U.S.A. (So not China then!)

Better too big than too small. The best salad spinner I have ever used and I go back to the days when you wrapped the salad in a tea cloth and spun it outside the door in your hand. A small tip to keep it looking new, wipe it occasionally with a cloth dipped in white vinegar and warm water, then dry with a clean tea towel.
