I have a lot of problems with my hands and have been through so so many can openers..maybe because I'm left handed but more likely they were just terrible can openers although some were expensive.When the oxo one arrived I wasn't holding out much hope as I had been so disappointed before.NO..I was amazed..You hear a good click when you close it onto the can which tells you it's connected and turning was soooo smooth..I could turn it so easily like a knife through butter..I believe I could spin it with one finger.To get such a great opener at such a low price amazes me as I have spent a lot over the years.It's very comfortable in the hands and is good and chunky with soft grips which are very easy on my hands..which for me really does help.I also like that it opens right up for Easy access and cleaning.Overall I love this oxo can opener..if it lasts me 6 months I'll be happy 😊..All my others failed within weeks.Definitely recommend you buy one, especially if you're disabled like me.Also the lid comes off neatly so it fits snugly at the bottom of the empty can!

A kitchen must - forget the cheap supermarket can openers that don’t last 5mins. This is SO easy to use and cuts like a knife to butter. Well worth the price as they are built to last. Don’t look further, buy them. You won’t regret it

Considering this is such a basic, simple tin opener, it’s absolutely brilliant, and one of the best that I’ve ever used, if not the best. I have tried many tin openers through the years; some have been expensive and some have been at the cheaper end of the scale, but this is better than all of them. It’s nicely made and feels reasonably robust. The handles are quite soft and have a bit of give to them, so they're comfortable to hold, and don’t hurt your hands. The bit that you turn is chunky and easy to hold, plus it feels sturdy. The cut is excellent, and it’s smooth with no jagged edges.One of the best things for me is that you can open out the tin opener to more than 180 degrees, so it is very simple to not only clean properly, but to dry, too. Very pleased indeed, and happy to recommend.

FOR THICKER GAUGE CANS I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS CAN OPENER 100%. This can opener was purchased to open thick cans. I have struggled for years with other can openers on thicker cans. This one does it with ease. It is light weight and works so well. It also has a bottle top opener on it. As an Engineer (retired) my only quibbles would be that the black plastic turn handle should also be made from metal. If it were to be damaged the can opener would be useless. There is no magnet to hold the can lid, so you need to be a bit careful when you remove it.

Doesn't feel like the sort of purchase I'd usually leave a review on, but this is a great tin opener!Feels solid, comfortable and cleanly and smoothly opens the tins.Had it a few months now and it's remained sharp and smooth, unlike cheaper 'supermarket' tin openers!

Not much I need to say about this can opener, it is the best opener you can buy at this price point. I’m an advocate for OXO Products, that are all excellent, long lasting with high build quality and this Can Opener is no different.I previously had a cheap one from IKEA/B&M/other cheap company, and this one is absolutely worth spending the extra money for one that will last 10x as long. My wife laughs at how excited I was for a can opener, given my love for OXO products and I wasn’t disappointed. Buy it.
