Way better than I expected after reading other reviews
Reviews such as this are biased strongly by expectations. In my case, after reading the other reviews I was expecting the following:Difficulties in assembly - not true, this bike was about as easy as it gets to put together but you have to have your own basic tool kit with a few spanners.Problems in setting up - very easy, the gears were already set up and the brakes were no more or less difficult than any other bike.Weight - I really didn't know how heavy the stated weight would feel to ride, well don't panic, it's light as a feather.Remember, this bike is very very cheap so it over delivered on my expectations in every way, hence the 5 star rating.I have only had the bike for a short time however and have not had any need for spares etc. but again, at this price, I have quite low expectations on service and support so the supplier has plenty of room to over deliver again.Additional information:My son has now had the bike for 4 months and is still as thrilled as when he first received it. we have not had any repairs to make but have had a few minor tweaks to the brake cables and gear cables which is pretty normal as these do tend to stretch a little with use.I still give this bike a 5 star rating for great value for money.

Very good value for money but don't expect too much
Bought this bike back in April 2013 and ridden it for about 700 miles, mainly as a way of getting to work but also for some long rides up to 60 miles.I was not an experienced cyclist before and my intention was definitely not racing. The bike is very quick and light (I can't really compare it with other bikes though). It's a bit too small for me (I'm 178cm) and I would have liked the handlebar to be 4-5 inches higher. My back always starts to hurt after 30-40 miles riding. The brakes are really not good, it takes ages to stop and it hurts my left wrist when braking. I injured it several years ago and still hurts sometimes, but you can tell how much braking puts stress on wrists and that shouldn't really happen. Also the very stiff front fork doesn't help my wrist either on some rough London roads.I've had two minor problems with the bike:- After about 500 miles the pedals started breaking. The wheels that hold them together don't really do a good job and they eventually broke completely and I had to replace them- After about 600 miles the left handlebar gear shifter broke (as they always do...) and could only go up to the 2nd gearI have to say that both problems are quite easy and cheap to fix and I think that for a bike as cheap as this it's not bad at all.Overall satisfied with the purchase considering the price, I was expecting less! Saved a lot of money (more than the cost of the bike) in expensive London public transports so I can't complain!

Waste of money
If there was less than 1star then that would be my choice! I bought this bike for everyday use and it came within 3 working days which I was pleased about. When we had built the bike I noticed that the bike front brake handle was completely loose. Unlike normal racing bikes where you can push the handle down and tighten with a screw, this did not have this option (probably due to the cheap price). It was simply not safe to ride and it might have just been a one off but I wasn't going to take a risk again and have it break a month down the line. Also a little not about the barracuda stickers on the bike. They where very poorly applied and looked like they where put on by a child which is not what you expect even for the bargain price. Overall Not a great bike and very easily scratched with it's matt black frame and wheels in places. I'm very disappointed and would not recommend this to anyone! The one good thing I will say is that because it was sold and dispatched from amazon, they where very very gd about it and they have now collected it and refunded the money the day after so that I am very happy about! Amazon are A+ yet again.

Great Bike for the Price!
This is a very nice bike for the money and Definitely looks the part.Would have been 5 Stars if it had been setup ready to go, this was nota problem for me, but I have been around bikes for some years and havethe experience to set them up.When it arrived its brakes were out of alignment and the gears did notshift correctly, took about 30mins to sort out.As with what other reviewers have said, there is a Allen key missingwhich is needed to fix the saddle in place. So overall a good bike let down by some disappointing little niggles!Update: The 3 speed shifter has broken in less than a week, as withall Grip Shifters, they are rubbish! Will be replacing them with the more reliable Thumb Shifters as Istill like the bike overall!Update18 months later and all that is left of the original bike is the frameand forks. All the other components have been upgraded to a higher spec as theones that come with the bike had issues or failed completely.Good job I like messing around with bikes or this one would have beenchucked long ago.If you need a bike that will last you, I would spend a little moremoney, it makes a difference!
