Surpassed my expectations!I didn’t hold out a lot of hope that this would help my husbands crippling migraines but how wrong I was. After trying this for a few days he has been able to reduce painkiller tablets and we have just ordered a second one. They are brilliant.Couldn’t be easier to use, lay it in he freezer, wrap around head when it’s the desired temperature. I have even used it when I had a fever and it’s very comfortable to wear, and compared to the throw away cooling strips you can get from pharmacies and the like, we have already had our monies worth and we’ve only had it a short time. And the way the Velcro headband works you can use it on the back of your neck and other places rather than having to buy a multitude of products.If you have headaches, migraines, fevers this is an astonishingly good product!!!

I suffer from migraines and this is a great alternative to cooling strips which are expensive to keep buying! It can be quite painful when first applied due to how cold it is, but I just put one or two sheets of kitchen roll between it and my forehead and it’s fine (and still cold). Once it’s been out of the freezer for a couple of minutes it’s fine on it’s own, but does tend to thaw quite quickly.Haven’t used it hot yet

This is great but doesn't stay cold for very long at all. It's very useful that it wraps around your head and you can look like a gucci model (I've had a few laughs from my family while wearing it) while keeping your hands free and avoiding arm ache.Heat doesn't help me at all so I've never tried microwaving it, but I do keep it constantly in the fridge as I have migraines very regularly and can't predict when it'll happen. It offers great relief for about twenty minutes, after that it's warm again and I find I have to do without it for a few more hours before I can reuse it. It does say to put it in the freezer for 2 hours, but I found when I tried freezing it that (other than forgetting all about it and leaving it in there for a week...whoops) it was far too intense and then it warmed up even faster than when it was kept in the fridge so there was no happy medium.Basically, I do use it a lot and wouldn't be without it, but I wish there was some way it would hold the chill for a little longer. Perhaps I just give off a lot of heat and I'm melting the poor thing more than others do! The idea is so simple and clever that I'd say it's definitely worth a shot, it's probably useful for far more than just headaches too (arm and leg pains too, I imagine!)

Bought it to replace the one-time-use cold strips for migraines but this doesn’t stay cold enough for my liking, even if it’s kept in the freezer beforehand. Somewhat disappointing.

After being diagnosed with a herniated disc, I started using Ice packs so much that they didn't have the time to get cold in the freezer again between uses. So now I have a freezerful from many different brands. I wanted some for headaches which I could use while up and about as well as lying down. As even with a thomping head, I have to get up and brush my teeth and answer the front door sometimes!I loved the other type, the soft microwaveable heat wraps for my neck and shoulders provided by this company, I found they were the best by a million miles. But after having a herniated disc for a little while, I've found that I need ice rather than heat. I don't like the cold feel of the usually warm and soft material ones, though they can apparently be used cold too. I haven't tried using these ones warm either, as I always keep them in the freezer.I really like how the sides come down so you're really getting a thorough amount of cold touching your head. Unfortunately thee don't have any sort of cloth covering, which means that if like me, you freeze them, then when you first take them out they are super frozen and hard to touch, so can't be put straight on the skin for 5 minutes. This doesn't seem like a massive problem to me though as they get to the perfect temperature really fast. Sometimes the ones covered in cloth don't let enough of the cold through and it can be really frustrating and you want to take the cover off but off course with the other type you can't do that.This one freezes nicely into a hard pack when left in the freezer (which is what i'm after but not for everyone's tastes) The velcro is amazing quality, better than any of the competitors. Some of my gel ice packs stay colder for longer, but remember, you're only mean to leave ice on your skin for 20 minutes anyway. In which case this pack is fine. Other gel packs get warm really quickly so gel doesn't mean it stays cold longer at all. Different brands just seem to be different. I don't know what's in here, gel balls in gel I guess. Not too different.Again Zhu Zhu has produced something to help us which really is better than the rest. I'm going to be keeping a close eye on this company. I'm not working for anyone by the way, it's just that when you use ice packs as often as I do, you begin to feel quite passionately about them :)

Gives instant relief from headaches without need for tablets. Can't believe I ever coped without it!

This works well for migraines as you can put it in the freezer and it doesn’t go solid or feel really really cold. It’s nice and flexible and the Velcro strap is good for adjusting exactly how you want it.Unfortunately, I have used this twice only - once for a migraine and once on the back of my neck as it was so hot - and it has now split at one of the joins. The little balls have fallen out everywhere as I didn’t realise until transporting it back to the fridge.Disappointed as it was very nice while it lasted.

Absolutely love this! Used lots since I've had it. Keep in freezer & really helps ease headaches. Comfortable too. Great brand!
