Brilliant!
I love this product - I've made 5 batches of jelly/jam in it so far and it has been brilliant. I actually wonder how I managed this long without it! It is very sturdy and holds a decent amount (approx 1.5kg of fruit) and strains to a clear liquid. It is easy to clean - the fabric has become stained by the fruit though obviously this doesn't effect use!

Perfect for the job
Used for making apple jelly.I needed to replace a very old jelly bag I had inherited but no other modern bags that I have tried were up to standard. This one is ideal and is a great size with functional handles.

Kitchen craft cheese cloth straining bag
Works well, it held 2.2 kgs of grapes to strain to make grape jelly. The bag does stain but worth it for a non nylon bag. Have used it twice, not sure how long it will last as the wood in the band is fairly thin. Something like this on a stand would be good as you do need somewhere to be able to hang it from over a bowl or big jug.

Well made but material too thick
Well made item but material is too thick. Prepared some crab apples to make a jelly but the material didn’t allow any juice/liquid to pass through. Disappointed

I use it for making grape or watermelon juice from blended fruit. Great!
This is so good. I have it set up in my small utility room above my sink. We added a screw hook to the ceiling, with a long chain suspended from it. And an S-hook to attach the bag handle to the chain. This means that when not in use, I can just unhook the S-hook and attach it all higher up, so the bag doesn’t get in my way. Alternatively I could just take the chain away completely, so that all that’s left showing is the hook in the ceiling. And of course, I don’t need to use a stand for the bag, or other contraption…or even hold it whilst it strains juice. The bag is well constructed, and a really good size. I use it for turning blended grapes or watermelons into juice. I can pour my whole Vitamix jug, full of blended fruit, into this large calico bag, with no problem at all. I can then go off and do something else for a few minutes. Once the juice starts slowing down, I then start squeezing the bag carefully. I can get so much more juice out of this than by using a sieve, or even my Omega vertical juice extractor. And to think, I ‘ummed and ahhed’ about it. Brilliant. Don’t hesitate. So much better than other strainer bags.

How much?!!
I have bought three of these in recent months - not because they are inherently worth £18 , which I thought was a lot - but because they are perfect for my needs.I am shocked to see they are not said to be worth £25 each, before the nowadays obligatory special offer price, of £22 odd. Shocking, the games sellers play with pricing. Perhaps it's just me....?
