Q: If you're sending line signals e.g. from headphones outs, to active speakers, will the box recieve power?

The box doesn't need any power. Also, unless you're also using a mixing desk, you need to make sure your active speakers have XLR inputs and can accept a microphone signal and not just a line level signal. If not, and if you don't want to also buy a mixing desk, you're probably best off simply getting a Y cable with a stereo mini jack plug at one end and a pair of mono 1/4" jacks at the other ends, and not bother with the DI box.

No, you'll still need an audio interface. This basically changes an XLR into a 1/4" connection

I don’t think so. This is for sending a line level signal (iPod in my case) to a mixing desk. If your mixer is powered you should just need speaker cables

No, don't think that would work. This is designed to convert the signal from the guitar (line) into a balanced signal (mic) to go into a sound mixer desk.
