Excellent value telly that is surprisingly good all round!
This is the small telly you want to buy if you do not have a 6 year old around to set it up for you. Open the box, fit the stand, plug it in and follow the onscreen instructions - simples. And the result is a stratling good picture and better than acceptable sound, both of which are often missing in modern, small, slimline tellys. There is a basic menu to change settings, I particularly like the easy to read and simple to use display that appears at the bottom of the screen offering a choice of settings, non of which are too complex. Being hard of hearing, I really like the 'clear speech' option that really does reduce background noise and makes things a lot easier. The picture is really very good, sharp and realistic colours. The telly itself looks good with the minimilist surround and modern base. This is a small telly that should appeal to probably 80% of people over the age of 14 who want it for the kitchen or bedroom, under that age and I doubt there is enough ports at the back to connect games, audio, memory sticks, and whatever else it is necessary to have at that age, to appeal.Great telly at a bargain price for what you get, what's not to like?

Fabulous!
Absolutely brilliant. I am using this tv for lyric and script prompt on stage and it works absolutely perfectly! Even where I need it, on the floor and tilted slightly back, the picture and clarity is fantastic. Although I am not using it as a simple tv I have run tv through my laptop to the screen and the picture is superb. The sound is excellent for what I need, on stage to help keep timings balanced with the main sound systems which faces the audience, and there's no drift! Although the description of this tv said it has built in Freeview I was very pleasantly surprised that it also has built in satellite. Brilliant tv/monitor at a VERY reasonable price. I would highly recommend this. Oh yes, and the speakers are built into the screen! This is also brilliant for me because that's just where I need them, facing front!

Great TV, but beware extended TV warranty offers
Value for money and good quality. Easy set up for me, although like most smart TVs, those less familiar or less tech savvy may have a little more trouble, but nothing that a little bit of patience wouldn't sort. The only issue I had was with Amazon themselves and the extended warranty offered. The advertisement was for a 5yr warranty. It was the reason I chose this over going to any other competitor. However, when I didn't initially receive any information as part of my purchase, I asked amazon where it was. The advert for the TV had changed twice inside a week, specifically the price, but also the updated advert had removed the extended warranty offer. When I explained this (several times) to Amazon, the representatives kept referring back to the current listing, stating that the warranty is not there. Despite me saying at least 30 times that the currently listing had no relation to what it looked like at the time of my purchase and that it had clearly been updated twice inside a week,There was much confusion, with some saying that I had the cover, whilst others saying I didn't. Eventually I was at the point of completely giving up when out of the blue came an independent email with the details of the 5yr cover... A little bit of training might be required here I think. It's a web-based company, with staff who do not understand how websites are updated.

A good quality small TV for kitchen, bedroom or for use as a monitor
As TVs in general are becoming larger it is also more difficult to find a decent small TV suitable for use in the bedroom or kitchen – this model from LG is just about perfect for the job. This LG 22MT49DF can be also be used as a monitor and it features full 1080P HD plus a gaming mode to give a better results when playing games. It is a small TV so the sound quality will not be astounding but the two built-in 5 Watt speakers do give a decent stereo effect – a bit better than you might expect. The TV has a built-in DVB-T/C tuner for Freeview, one HDMI port, a standard Belling-Lee areal socket and a USB port – but there is no SCART input for older equipment. The user manual is in PDF format on a disc for which you will need to use a computer to read or print and, to save you searching, there is a single small joystick-style control at the bottom of the TV under the red LED – press for “on” then wiggle for the menu or to change the volume. I picked this TV up as an Amazon Prime Day deal but I would have been quite happy to pay the full price of around one hundred and fifty pounds for it. There are also 24” and 28” models available on the same product page – but these have slightly different features to my 22” model.

LG HD ready 28 inc telly
Excellent picture. The 2 poles that screw into the base of the telly are very effective at keeping it steady, compared to a smaller LG one bought a few years ago. Easy to setup. Easy to use remote control. It can also be used as a computer monitor and digital photos are extremly accurate as to colour. As the main room television, this is large enough to view easily, but does not take up much space. Note that the 28 inches stated screen size is in fact the diagonal size, not the length of the screen, that is actually 25 inches. It can also be wall mounted. The sound level is adequate. This one was bought on Amazon offer price, and that made it an especially good purchase !The LG brand of telly is certainly a much clearer, accurate picture than some of the other well known and more expensive brands available that I have viewed at friends houses.

Very pleased with this TV.
I bought this as a bedroom TV. The picture and sound is excellent. I found it tuned well and every channel is in the right order. The cable to the power transformer could be longer, but I found a way of fixing the transformer it to the set of drawers that it sits on, it shouldn't really be necessary to have to do this though and the design could have been better thought out. That really is my only criticism though. Other than that it is a perfect bedroom TV.

Reasonable TV/monitor for price.
So far, so good. It works fine as a cheap TV or a monitor. The viewing angle can't be changed. It's bit low and I'd like to raise it a little. It's not for those of you who are discerning with your TV quality, but you'll need to spend more. Generally, you get what you pay for.
