Evolution Aqua evo55 UVC

Used on a 10,000 litre koi pond, that has had murky water for some months. Had also suffered from blanket weed that was treated with blanket clear but added to the brown water colour. Pay close attention to the build instructions as it will leak if not done 100% correctly. Fitted for over 4 weeks now and has cleared the water significantly, took about 3 weeks to notice any improvement but seems to be getting better every week.It’s a big bit of kit, so make sure you have room to install it. Well built and good instructions.

Magnificent First Class quality product! The only mild criticism is that the design has completely changed from the original forcing me to rejig the inlet and outlet piping - probably needed it!I have this unit filtering 11,000ltr pond at one change per hour - it cleared the water from opaque green to seeing down 750mm in four days - better than the original that was trashed in the frost. Thoroughly reccommend.

Bought this as a replacement thought it would match up with fixings for the old uv but fixings were in a different place and had to buy a long reach masonry drill so that I could be sure it would line up with the pipework without alterations which it did I don't like the way the tube is fitted it two o rings to stop water getting to the electrics if there is a leak at all it will blow the fuse been in for two weeks and water hasn't cleared yet I thought it would have been quicker as its 55watt and last one was 30watt time will tell

This UV unit is a big improvement on the earlier design, it is easy to install and the tube can be changed without even turning off the water.

Absolutely shocking piece of kit I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone ! There’s a lot better in the market for the same price if not cheaper it’s got to be the worst uv light out there! And plus the company selling it is as good as the product it’s self after about 30 emails I managed to get my money back do not be fooled and buy it buy something else

Used on my pond works well, could be improved by putting a better electric connection on , as this seems the weakest part of the unit
