Whats the difference between the 2 Amla products? Like one has gold written pictured with brown hair and the other box is pictured with black hair?
Are you supposed to wash it off? the instructions don't say to but i used it and looked like i'd dipped my head in a chip pan! or did i use too much?
Is this safe for coloured/dyed hair?
what does this smell like? Is it different from the normal dabur amla?

Use sparingly!
This oil smells quite herby/floral - I like the smell but it's a personal choice. Used sparingly it perks up my lacklustre frizz-prone hair by smoothing it's tendency to kink & softening 'crispy' ends! Gives great shine & you use so little that it will last ages even if you lather on a teaspoon full pre-shampoo. Great value for money.

Addicted to the smell
I use this as a pre-shampoo treatment. I massage this oil into scalp for around 5-10mins (this is very refreshing and calming) then distribute along the length of hair, tie it up and get on with my day or leave it on overnight. I wash it out using shampoo 2-3 times then apply conditioner on my ends. After drying ,my hair is left very soft with a mirror -shine and extra body. This oil does contain some silicones and paraffin oil so it s not organic /fully natural. Amla, henna, almond extracts ensure scalp healrh and the oil smells fragrant with a mild scent. In small quantities it can be used as a leave -on as well. All hair types benefit from hair oiling if used correctly. I have oily -prone scalp with very dry ends and my hair can look lank easily. Twice a week oil massages have balanced my scalp and resulted in thicker stronger, shinier hair that grows faster. No need for expensive shampoos, the trick is in scalp massages for me.

keeps hair soft
Love that it keeps my hair soft esp after washing. I have black processed hair shoulder length. Great for the scalp.

Brilliant!
This is an amazing product at a very good price, and definitely an upgrade to the very successful original Amla oil. I had thinning damaged hair and now my hair has definitely improved. First and the utmost improvement is how soft my hair has become, it feels almost fluffy! It has its shine and moisture back, less tangled and less frizzy. The smell is slightly unpleasant, there is no doubt about it. However, once you get past the smell, you'll find that it is actually a very good product and it is quite affordable. It is too soon to comment on hair growth or hair loss, I have yet to see any difference after a month. It contains more natural and traditional ingredients unlike the expensive haircare brand which can contain a lot of chemicals. Overall, this is an amazing product so far!

Fantastic and great service. Shipping was faster than expected.
1. Apply the oil on the hair and scalp, gently massaging with fingertips. 2. Leave the oil in for several hours. 3. Wash out with shampoo. 4. Use 2-3 times a week, preferably during morning or evening times, keeping the body relaxed.

My understanding is that the black hair picture is for those who have dark hair. This oil is a dark green colour. Do be careful which one you use.... the oil that has the picture with back hair WILL make your hair darker if you have light hair - this happened to my daughter- she naturally has medium brown hair and she used the oil that has the picture with black hair a few times and it changed her colour to a permanently darker shade. She was not happy. I can only assume the brown hair picture is for people who have light hair. The oil is light green shade."}},{"@type":"Question","name":"Are you supposed to wash it off? the instructions don't say to but i used it and looked like i'd dipped my head in a chip pan! or did i use too much?","acceptedAnswer":{"@type":"Answer","text":"Ayurvedic hair oils such as this have to be used in a specific way. Pour an ample amount of oil to a bowl, you can warm it up slightly if it is not Summer. Dip your fingertips into the oils and massage your scalp gently, with circular motions. This can be a shorter massage or you might continue for 5-10mins, until you used up the oil in the bowl (this amount depends on hair length and thickness). Focus on your scalp without scratching then spread oil on entire length of hair & tie it up if longer. Leave oil on for 1hour -overnigbt under a cap or sg. Wash out using shampoo twice or more, depending on the porosity +dryness of your hair. The result will be thicker, shinier ,healthier hair with increased growth from the combination of massage &plant extracts in the oil. \nOn very dry hair, a tiny amount of the oil can be also used to tame frizz or dry ends. \nHope this helps; I have been using the oil for years ,usually leave it on overnight or during housework then wash out +my hair looks v healthy & thick despite of my age (40) & previous hair issues (thinning and looking flat )."}},{"@type":"Question","name":"Is this safe for coloured/dyed hair?","acceptedAnswer":{"@type":"Answer","text":"Yes it is, try to massage on the scalp with the oil it will not impact your dyed/coloured hair, instead they looks more shiny.\nThanks"}},{"@type":"Question","name":"what does this smell like?
