These tactile letters are amazing. Highly recommended when helping a child learn how to read and write. They are easy to handle and the 'direction of writing' of the letter is very clear (a dot as a starting point and arrows which show the child which way to follow the letter). I would highly recommed them to any parent who would like to support their child to teach or consolidate their learning of letters and sounds. Using these letters for fun activities (feel the letters to learn their 'direction' as a pre-writing activity, make up words - you will need to buy two or three packs as each pack only has one of each letter, but totally worth the expense - use them in sand or other material for sensory bins, etc.) can help a child consolidate their learning in a relaxing way. The size and texture of the letters are perfect.

Fantastic quality and great for phonics
My daughter absolutely loves these tactile letters. We've been using them in messy play as she loves sensory activities. I hid the letters in pretend snow and she loved digging them out with her hands then exploring the phonic sound the letter makes. Next up we're going to dig them out of jelly!

A fantastic teaching resource
These tactile letters are a great resource. They are a good size to hold and very sturdy, so will not be easily broken by little fingers. Can be used in lots of different ways with young learners/dyslexic learners. One of the best resources I have bought for 1:1 teaching.

brilliant!
Looking at previous reviews saying they are small I disagree! I think the size is just right! These have been used for all sorts of things writing, learning letters, spelling and reading! So glad I bought these. My 4 year old son was having issues with writing the letter 'a' ( it was back to front) these helped a great deal. Love the vowels are a different colour. I'm buying a second pack to help even more with reading and spelling.

Very useful and great value
Fantastic letters. I actually used these as an alternative to Montessori sandpaper letters. I glued them to a wood backing to give small hands something to hold on to while they feel the shape and trace the letters. They have worked very well so far for this purpose and I can recommend them to all. They can also be used on their own and the short instruction manual (if you can call it that) gives you some ideas for how you can use these both at home or in a classroom environment. A great buy for the price!

No letter e!
We haven't got the letter e. Looks like the e was melted or not formed properly.Otherwise a very good product, good quality and enjoyed by the children, great for encouraging how to form the letters correctly.

Missing Letters- Not a full set.
There were 26 letters, however K and p are missing and there are duplicate z and b letters.Extremely disappointing as this is a school resource

Good tactile resource
A good tactile resource for children who need to see and feel the alphabet. However when a child holds the letters, they are not the easiest to hold and trace around at the same time so the letter falls out of hand and has to be reset the right way before the child traces again. This is helped slightly if you place it on a flat surface but even better if you use a bit of blu tac and stick it down before the child traces round it
