Ticks all the boxes for my dog and me.
This was recommended by a vet so thought I'd try it out as my dog wasn't keen on the taste of other dog toothpastes. He seems to like the flavour which is an important factor. The texture is firm so stays on the toothbrush or my finger (some other toothpastes have been quite runny). His teeth are looking much better (he's an older rescue so they'll never be perfect). This 'boxset' also comes with a very useful nozzle to attach which helps to regulate the amount being squeezed out, so no wastage. Also enclosed is a finger brush. My dog's mouth is too small for this so I either use a baby toothbrush or my finger. Both my dog and I prefer my finger (I can feel which teeth I am 'brushing'. The price is good value so I would recommend, especially for dogs who aren't keen on toothbrushing.

Seems to work well and dogs like the taste
I use this about 3 times a week on my dogs, neither of them like a toothbrush in their mouth so I put it on my finger and rub it onto their teeth. It's definitely kept tartar at bay and they love the taste.

Great product.
Really good product. My cat had gingivitis. So the vet recommended I brush his teeth with a pet toothpaste . I clean my cat's teeth one a fortnight. My vet was very pleased with the resultsMy cat however dies not like being done.

Cat likes it
Our cat was diagnosed with gingivitis and had to be put under so the vet could clean his teeth. It cost around £80. Traumatic for us never mind the cat. This product says it helps clean cats teeth. We can't actually use the enclosed brush to do so as, like most cats, he's having none of that. Instructions say that you can just let the cat lick it and it is abrasive enough to do the job without brushing. I must admit I'm sceptical but I'm giving it a go. After all how else can you remove plaque from a cat's teeth? When the vet sees him next year I may have some idea if it is any good. In the meantime he certainly enjoys licking it so that's at least something. It should last a while as one application a day is recommended and then only a little of the product.Unsure of rating as it may not work, but given 3 stars on the basis of price and that it is attractive to the cat.I have not updated this review as promised as sadly our dear cat passed on before I could report on it's effectiveness or otherwise.

I've Used It and It Works
I have used this product on our cat Opal. Opal is a small cat, with not much of a bite so she is not the hardest pet to deal with. Mind you, the claws on the end of her arms are something else!!It is difficult to apply this solution (or paste yourself) for one reason or another but other users here have found ways and means. Our cat has a very small mouth being a very small cat.If the teeth are scaled, the enclosed brush is useful. The rubber nubbins on it are very gentle indeed but you may still see a little bleeding on the gum. Just use a very gentle massaging motion with the finger brush.I also gently massage the lotion/paste in to the gum wearing a rubber glove. As for the results, it works. Inflamed gums DO calm down and return to a nice pink colour; bad breath also seems to be abated. The flavouring works in your favour too so even if the cat is grumbling at you or even spits, he/she will also be licking its lips. The use of the paste had never made our cat sick.Yes - they will lick it off their paws if it is put there. You may also need to apply wipes around the facial/mouth area too as it is a bit sticky as it drys in the fur.I have applied it once for 3 days a week when something flares up, then once a week to keep things as they are.It works so I recommend it, but watch what you feed your cat - some of the biscuits out there are a bit hard and we have found that smaller cats get on better with softer biscuits or those designed for older cars.

Dog likes it
My dog isn't big on people doing things to her, although I do get more of a free pass than anyone else. Wasn't sure how this toothpaste would go but thankfully she likes the taste. I can see by her face that she still thinks it is odd that I want to rub her teeth every night but she tolerates it because it clearly tastes pleasant. Too early to say how effective it is but her breath is good and her teeth do seem to be whitening, so positive signs and I will persevere.

Useful
I tried another toothpaste because this was out of stock, but that tube was a waste of money. I am so glad I came back to this one. The cats like the smell of it (well they don’t hate it) and it’s durable - lasts forever. The teeth are less yellow having used this for a while. My vet recommended this to us after seeing some tartar on my cat’s teeth. 10/10 highly recommended!!
