Works just fine
I love my cat, but holy wow does she ever shed. Even my vacuum cleaner doesn't pick up all of it, and it's a pet-specific model with a rotating brush intended to pull pet hair off carpets. Problem is, I only have time to vacuum once or twice a week, but I walk on my carpeted floor every day, and my cat's hair (and my own hair) gets ground in. So every time I do vacuum, I have to spend ages going back and forth, back and forth, until I'm relatively certain I've pulled up most if not all of it... with frequent pauses to sit down and remove the tangled-up hair from my vacuum's brush, which is an absolutely odious job.Enter this little gadget. A friend recommended it to me, and honestly I was skeptical, but figured for £4.49 I may as well give it a shot. And it's basically magic. No, it doesn't get ALL the hair off my carpet. No, it doesn't really neatly collect the hair on itself, at least not all of the time - rather I end up with piles of fluff I have to pick up myself. (You may or may not have a different experience, depending on the thing you're brushing. I tried brushing my actual cat, out of curiosity, and the fluff did gather on the brush as expected.)Yes, the little nubs do wear down and pull off, but that's basically expected (it's a £5 thing made of soft rubber, friction is a thing, of course it's going to wear down). But it gets most of the hair off quite quickly, and then I can run the vacuum and what little is left just comes up in one pass, because this brush already loosened it. And I don't have to stop and detangle my vacuum five times anymore. It's also excellent for stairs, and other nooks and crannies you can't easily get your vacuum into.

a great eradicator of pet hair of all lengths and textures...
The CarPet Pet Hair Remover is one item I would recommend to anyone who like myself has a pet with long hair. I have two long haired pure white Spitz who have a lovely habit of scratching their back by rubbing it up and down on the back of the sofa or even the front of it if there is no one sitting on it. Before receiving this I would usually just use a hard brush, but this was just O.K. at removing the dog hair off the sofa and surrounding soft furnishings quickly and efficiently. From the moment I first started using this which really only means swiping the actual pet hair remover over where-ever you want the pet hair removed from and immediately the hair attaches it self away from the furniture and attaches itself to the rubber texture which is also a very thick bubbly rubber covering over a rectangular square tube. The CarPet Pet Hair Remover works quickly and efficiently, what ever loose hair which does not stay on the actual CarPet Pet Hair Remover would simply fall on the floor. I usually just do a quick hoover and all the hairs are removed from my furniture quickly and easily. The one reason I did not give this item five stars is that it would work better if I had some kind of handle to grip as I have lost count of the amount of times I have dropped this while using it. This might not matter to any other customers as I do suffer from pain in my hands which makes it hard to grip some things. I find the CarPet Pet Hair Remover as a great purchase and I am happy to recommend it to anyone who like myself who loves their pets but wants their pesky hairs removed from the furniture quickly and easily without fuss. The actual CarPet hair remover is very easy to keep clean as it only takes a quick dip in clean water then let dry naturally or even wiped over with kitchen roll or a soft cloth.

Wont last long!
The media could not be loaded. Why would I not recommend this?I have three cats, and no matter how much I brush them, I'm constantly left with cat hair on my wool carpets and various other places, like my sofas. I've used many pet hair removing brushes off amazon, however after they've initially worked for a few uses, the rubber wears down very quickly, so they are no more useful. I bought this one due to it being the top seller. In my video I show pet hair removal off a wool carpet. I suppose you should brush in the direct off the fibres, however I just brush everywhere as wool carpets trap more hair. The video was recorded on my first use of this product, and I was very disappointed as after that first use, the rubber had wore down considerably which is visible in the pictures. This will only last me a few times and I need to use daily. This result (the rubber wear down) is from using it only on a small section of carpet in a door way.I certainly would not buy it again and I definitely don't recommend it. I do not want to buy a hair removing tool weekly! It you only intend to use for car seats or sofas, I would imagine it would last longer. For carpets I highly recommend theSTICKY BUDDY FUR AND LINT REMOVERThe roller after use can be washed and continues to work. It is not like many lint removers, where you have to tear layers off frequently and eventually when used up, you have to replaced the rolls. It also has a comb part similar to this product, however it's much more durable. You also get two in one pack, a medium size roller and a small sized roller. Now I know why I've purchased it multiple times. This product is not durable for my needs and I'd imagine most customers would purchase for pet hair removal from carpets and it's actually called "wicked or what carpet hair remover".It could be used on heavy duty clothes, curtains and sofas. I suggest using it gently and holding the material. It would work for dog hair and human hair too, but not for long. The company could argue I used it with too much force, however I didn't as seen in the video and when it comes to carpets, some force is required. It's not the same as removing hair from a car seat cover. Very disappointed.
