I’m used to medium roast specialty coffee beans. I also enjoy some dark specialty coffees. I thought this beans will be closer in taste to the dark roasted specialty coffees I try, but honestly it’s too bitter with zero acidity, and too strong aroma.But for anyone who enjoys typical Italian coffees, or commercial coffees like Starbucks/Mcdonalds, etc, these Lavazza beans are better, imo.So in terms of taste, they are better than Starbucks & commercial coffees, but absolutely do not compare to specialty coffees, even the darker ones. I would rate it 5 out of 10 compared to specialty coffees, but 9 out of 10 compared to Starbucks & other commercial coffees.Finally, in terms of extraction and crema, I rate it 9.5 out of 10. Very nice and cinematic. The half point reduction is due to the dark crema, latte art requires a bit more hard work.All in all, for the price, I like the purchase, but I’ll mostly use it for guests who enjoy dark coffees, not for myself.

i am really particular with coffee, i drink the instant coffee Nescafe Gold Blend and i haven'y found a coffee bean yet that i like as they are too strong or the wrong flavour. This one is perfect. It has the nicest and smoothest flavour and would highly recommend it to anyone stuggling to find a decent coffee bean.
