I am really pleased with this plastic. I have got a bit of MDF and put it on slightly unstable table in order to create a flat, easy to use surface. Instead of leaving it brown and boring, I painted the MDF (with tropical birds) and as I am going to use this board for all sorts of arts and crafts (most of them messy) I wanted to make it a 'wipe down surface' that was easy to clean, and to give the paintwork a bit of protection. I bought this plastic and have cut it to size and pulled it tight over the board and 'staple gunned it' on the back and I am very pleased with the result. It looks good, it gives it a slightly glossy 'look' and makes it much more practical.I think it is exceptionally good value for money; £2.49 per meter including postage and packaging. It is nice and thick and yet when I put it on the board it seemed to cling to it and looked more like a second skin. It works really well and doesn't 'cloud' the painting underneath it at all.I totally see what some of the other reviewers were saying; that as it was folded, it arrived creased and of course with it being plastic, it's so much harder to iron than other materials! But I do slightly expect some creases with a material of this sort, and particularly with something as good value as this. For those that really need something that is uncreased it would be good if the company gave an option of rolling it, even if it cost a bit more ( as postage and packaging costs would probably increase).

I got one of these table cloths before,it is really durable and easy cleaned,i bought it for a square table and chairs and it fits great,i still have the other one nothing wrong with it,i can use it again, i was looking for something and came across this so i got it as a spare one,as it is durable and i have small dogs that think they can sit on it but they get down quick, for a couple of pounds buy it

Just what I wanted to cover my laminated dressing table (grey). Been looking for something to protect from makeup, knocks and so on and found this. It seems strong and was easy to cut and fit - I actually wrapped it round the front of the top and stuck in place with cellotape, so the front edge is now nicely protected too. It did come folded and the creases have still not come out fully. Made the mistake of warming with a hair dryer, whch actually stretched the plastic. I had enough to future proof mistakes! given some to 16 year old to cover her dressing table - new, white and already showing signs of abuse! Very useful stuff - just thinking where I can put it next!

Read a few of the reviews before ordering.Some people complaining about the vinyl being very wrinkly.We have it on our dining table just - over another (decorative) tablecloth - as we have young kids who can still be a bit messy at mealtimes.Sure, it's not a smooth as a sheet of glass, but then, I wouldn't expect it to be.But it's not that wrinkly either. Sure it was fairly wrinkled when it 1st arrived, but within a day or so after being flattened out and in a warm room, it gets to be fairly smooth.A cheap, very effective solution to our problem of keeping nice tablecloths clean yet visible at the same time, while making it easy to wipe the dining table clean after a messy mealtime.

Sadly although this is shown on a roll in the picture it came folded up.I have spent a long time trying to get the folds out of it. Hence the poor star rating.I have cut some and used it on my table it is light and fairly malleable .

This has been close to the best investment we've made ...the plastic, made to measure, sits perfectly on our large dining room table, over the table cloth, completely transparent and so still benefiting from the colour of the table cloth. We use the table for all sorts of things ... but the reason we purchased it is because we host weekly dinner meetings in our very tiny lounge for up to 20 people (adults) and we wanted a way around needing to wash the table cloth once a week. Well I think we still haven't washed it, 2 years later :D (okay yes, time for a wash) ... but the plastic itself requires just a quick wipe after dinner- all food stains come off quickly and easily. All creases from arriving folded came out almost immediately and the plastic is very flexible, more so with time and sits very flat on the table with no creases to be seen. We thought we'd be taking it off after each weekly dinner meeting in order to get our "proper" table back again, but actually it just stays on all the time. In the end, being able to quickly and easily host a community around a table together over dinner is more important to us than how perfect something looks. Didn't think I'd ever write a review about a piece of plastic, but oh well here's my review, and bottom line is that I'd say don't hesitate for a moment to purchase!

Just what I needed! I decided to take a chance and order this table cover. I needed something to protect my usual tablecloth. I was a bit concerned about some of the reviews that spoke about it being crushed, and also being thin.But I needn't have worried. It's perfect! It was folded up and crumpled when it arrived. But I spread it over my table, and gave it a blast with my blow dryer (on high heat), and the creases just disappeared.It's great protection for my tablecloth, and it wipes clean easily. Perfect!
