Very well crafted and a great toy! Even with a rough farm boy it has held up and been great! Easy to assemble, very cute and looks great!

We bought this set as our three year old's birthday gift. It was more than we had planned on spending but when looking at comparable sets, there's a lot of ~$25 sets out there and then there's the Playmobil set and this one. We chose this one because it most closely mirrors an american farm, its size and ruggedness, and the availability of companion sets. To be honest, it is so feature rich that I'm not sure we'll ever appreciate in full all of the "bells and whistles".Assembly required a bit of troubleshooting, one of the walls got a little scrape to remove a injection-mold mark to allow it to slide together better, and the force required to assemble the kit sometimes bordered on excessive.The Schleich USA customer service we received was 10/10. A few small parts were missing and our CS rep was more than willing to help us with any problems, even shipped replacements quickly!To summarize our experience thus far- the engineering and design that Schleich has invested in this product really shows, and other than a few manufacturing/packaging problems (that customer service quickly and happily remedied) this is a set that would be hard to compare to- plus the amount of available new and used sets available makes this very attractive to accessorize! (Our three-year-old will probably be getting additional sets for birthdays and christmases for years to come.)

We bought this for a 1 year and his "5 year old" grandfather. So really, for the grandfather. It's HUGE. But it's adorable and so much fun. The 1 year old loves playing with the animals, making their sounds and biting at their little cow legs. They're so well made I don't worry too much about that. This company makes very nice sets of animals and accessories. I wish they had more people to go with them. We got a male farmer, but not a female farmer. Don't farmers come in both genders? You can buy a family, but not a black family or a white family, or a mixed race family. With the quality so high, it would be nice to see some of those things. The barn stays together as it's supposed to, and you can remove the roof sections to play with the insides. We've added a little horse stable and some new fencing to our set, so now grandpa has grandma down on the ground playing with this thing, too. If you have the room for it, it's a great toy for the 3 and up set. Or for a grandpa who really wanted it for himself.

What a super great company. This farm set is so detailed and creative with moving parts that actually work! They really thought of everything! I was very impressed with the roof. You can take that off and use it as a canopy for something else and then you can pack everything inside and put the roof back on. There are so many things for kids to play with on this farm set they will love it. I bought this for my grandson for Christmas with a few add-on kits and he plays with it for hours. I can’t say enough good things about this! Well worth the money!!

No parts missing, everything fit together easily and it's just a beautiful little farm set for young children. The instructions were clear and concise also. It took me less than an hour to assemble. I was so impressed with the care and thoughtfulness of this company, I went a little crazy and got a bunch of other stuff for early Christmas presents. Oh well, they're only little for such a short time!

I gave this barn for my 4 yo grandson for Christmas; it was not easy to put together; some doors do not fit at all and others do not close. allowing the roofs to remain on the barn reduces play productivity. My grandson spends time, filling the watering troughs, buckets with water; I purchased an extra item that included a variety of produce, a tree, and a few other items necessary for a farm which greatly enhanced his creative play.

Naturally I am upset! It was expensive and the child was crushed.Please replace parts or Barn.
