Canon Powershot G7 X MARK II

I have used the RX100 series including M3 and M4 as well as the Lumix TZ100. I absolutely love this camera, its liberating and feels fresh compared to the Sonys. Its actually a Joy to use with good ergonomics and a great menu system.Compared to TZ100+ Much faster lens at equivalent length - Better for low light.+ Intuitive Controls+ Better image quality+ Better ergonomics with good thumb grip+ Flip Up touch screenThe Positives for TZ100+ 4K video+ Optical viewfinder (albeit the TZ100 VF is very small - almost unusable)+ TZ100 has more than twice the zoom.- Camera is very slippery and difficult to hold with no real grips on body- Image Quality is compromised due to the massive Zoom- Poor High ISO and Low light performance.- Fixed ScreenAgainst the RX100 series - the M3 and M4 have slightly better JPG quality, Canon appears to over sharpen the images if left in Auto mode, the Zoom is only 24-70 on the RX100's, which may be not enough. The Canon can produce great portraits due to longer focal length wide open (F2.8) has more pleasing colours and the controls are a joy to use.The Ring Func button is fantastic, a quick press of this and you can quickly set the front Ring on the lens to be used to change Aperture, ISO, Manual Focus, WB amongst other things. The Canon also has a dedicated exposure compensation dial and a much more useful touch screen. The RX100 M4 is faster camera with 4K but has over heating issues. The Sony is better for Video especially the RX100 M4. It also has a great viewfinder.Having used all the above, the Canon is the perfect 1" camera that will fit in a pocket, it has great IQ, good colours, brilliant touch screen and as a photographer first, good controls and menu layout. Battery life is probably a bit worse than the other cameras but the ECO mode supposed to increase it over 350 shots.I would recommend this without any hesitation. Ok so if you’re like me you’ve been brought here by Casey Neistat and really you don’t know that much about actually photography. Casey is a huge fan of the Canon G7X and we all know that the quality of his vlogs are excellent, and with this camera then so will yours. At least that’s what I thought.But lets face facts, Casey is a true professional filmmaker and knows all of the tricks, he spends hours gathering some of his shots and it shows, so you are asking yourself, like I did, will spending a huge amount on this camera make me as good.So I went for it and I can confirm that a month on, I don’t regret purchasing it at all, it hasn’t turned me into Casey but it has definitely brought something to the table.The camera has so many functions, most of which I don’t have a clue about but even in auto mode the images are sharp and clear and the quality of the microphone is good enough for vlogging. I would’ve liked to have been able to plug an external mic in as an option but even without it i’m ultimately happy with the audio.Time Lapse is really cool and simple to use, i’d like to give the Star Trail time lapse a go but living in the UK its hard to find a night clear enough to try this out…hopefully soon.With this being such a popular model there are plenty of instructions on the web that walk you through how to produce any effect you like, I don’t think i’ve actually looked at the instructions.As well as video you can also take still photos with this camera :) and the quality is excellent to the point that even my snaps look quite professional.Don’t forget that if you are purchasing this camera you’ll need an SD Card…just after receiving it I also decided that It needed some protection so I purchased the Case Logic DCB-302 Case for it, which allows me to clip it to my belt…makes me look super cool. :)One thing that I did notice was that it didn’t come with a UK power connector for the battery charger even though I purchased through Amazon UK, this was the Figure 8 type. Luckily I had one lying around that I was able to use. Might be worth checking this when you purchase to avoid disappointment. I’m not going to mark them down for this as its such a great little camera a deserves the full 5 stars

I bought the item from Amazon and had a few issues with the products charger sockets, the item that was sent to me has EU not UK sockets as i had hoped. In the end I had to use an EU to UK plug to use the charger and was offered a small refund to cover the cost.The camera itself is excellent for vlogging and taking pictures. I bought the camera as a replacement for my old SONY a5100 and I'd say that the onboard sound is noticeably better, the battery last far longer and the camera is suitable for long video filming. It's also excellent in low light. Super easy to use.

Hace tiempo q quería esa camera y por fin lo he conseguido. El precio es mejor comparando con otros sitios . Es perfecta para foto y vídeo nocturno ya q tiene un flash integrado q puedes abrir y cerrar fácil . Una imagen perfecto detallado . No soy profesional así q buscaba algo fácil para usar . Es ligera y compacta . Los acabados muy buenos . Muy fácil y rápido puedes pasar tus fotos directamente a tu móvil ( con wifi o sin wifi ) , solo necesitas descargar la aplicación y listo . Te lo recomendó para lo q sea -empezar tu blog, vlog o solo captar los momentos de tu vida . Ideal como un regalo tmb .

Jag tappade min trogna Canon S120 i marken så skärmen sprack för ett tag sedan. Jag använde den i över 7 år. Tyvärr kom aldrig någon uppföljare till S120 så jag behöll den i så många år. Men nu blev jag tvungen att köpa en ny kamera. Och jag var ute efter en kamera som var lika liten som S120 men gav lika bra bildkvalitet. Mitt val föll på G7X mark 2, mark 3 är alldeles för dyr. Storleksmässigt är den i princip lika stor som S120 men bara lite tjockare och väger lite mer, men kan med Canons original-väska ändå enkelt bäras i livremmen när jag är ute och reser eller bara vill ha en liten kamera med mig. Bildkvalitén är fantastiskt bra, betydligt bättre än S120, faktiskt förvånar det mig hur mycket bättre bilder det blir i jämförelse med S120. Och dess mörkeregenskaper är fantastiska, den kan ta bilder i mörka rum utan blixt som blir fascinerande bra. Om något negativt ska sägas så är det nog att blixten känns lite plastig när den poppar upp, men den gör ett bra jobb och lyser utan problem upp stora områden. Jag köpte ett 64 Gb minneskort och med den kan jag ta över 7000 bilder i största JPEG-fil valet. Varje bild blir ungefär 7 Mb stor. Det blir också över 2 timmars film i 1080P med 60 bilder/s. Jag använder enbart autoläget när jag tar bilder som glad amatör och jag är helt förundrad over hur bra bilder den tar utan att jag överhuvudtaget behöver anstränga mig. Jag var ute efter en liten-liten lätt kamera som sköter automatiken men ändå tar enormt bra bilder, och det precis vad jag fick med denna kamera.

Ho scelto questa macchinetta per la sua praticità e versatilità. Sono rimasta sorpresa per le sue molteplici qualità. Fa ottime Macro; bei paesaggi; ha uno zoom buono per primi piani, come potete vedere dalla foto dell'uccellino, ripreso da tre metri di distanza; aumenta la luce dove è scarsa e lo si può fare sia automaticamente, che manualmente; fa buone foto in notturna con poca luce e senza flash: considerate che nella foto con la luna io non vedevo la strada, che per me era totalmente al buio; vedevo solo le luci; inoltre è facile da portare con sé, con una custodia a tracolla, pure acquistata qui su Amazon, ho preso la taglia grande, così mi sta la batteria di riserva, che non ho ancora usato, perché l'originale dura tantissimo. Ho acquistato a parte una memory card SanDisk da 64 Gb 95 MB/s e ci stanno migliaia di foto. Inoltre la Canon G7 Mark II ha molte funzioni per migliorare le riprese, come: fuochi d'artificio, primi piani, auto in corsa, notturna senza treppiede e senza flash, riprese subacquee (con apposito involucro per la macchinetta da acquistare a parte). Ho anche acquistato un vetrino per proteggere lo schermo, che è touch screen fantastico, sembra di usare lo smart phone; consiglio anche questa protezione che è perfettamente a misura, facile da applicare e che permette di usare lo schermo come se non ci fosse. Non sono una fotografa esperta, ma sono certa che anche fotografi esperti darebbero una valutazione come la mia o, addirittura, la userebbero nei casi in cui sarebbe ingombrante utilizzare le loro costosissime Reflex Full Frame. Dal punto di vista della condivisione sui social, ha probabilmente qualche funzione in meno della più economica G9, ma per me quello che conta è l'ottica con diaframma e zoom superiori. Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo. Consigliatissima.

Die Canon G7X Mark II wurde nach langer Recherche meine Hauptkamera für Youtube und Instagram. Ich habe viele Kameras angeschaut und verglichen. Sie ist eine sehr gute Kamera, wenn du darüber nachdenkst mit höherer Bild- und Videoqualität Youtube Videos zu drehen und Instagram Fotos zu schießen. Die Kamera ist auf Reisen und auch für Einsteiger ein sehr guter Allround Begleiter und ich zeige dir warum.AnforderungDie Canon G7X Mark II erinnert von der Optik an eine normale Digitalkamera und in diesem kleinen kompakten Gehäuse steckt mehr als man denkt. Bis zum Kauf habe ich hautpsächlich meine Instagram Fotos mit dem iPhone und Olloclip Objektiven geschossen. Da ich plante Reisevlogs und auch Content Videos für Youtube zu drehen, musste eine neue Kamera her. Die Canon G7X Mark II ist ziemlich bekannt als typische Youtuber Vlogging Kamera, vor allem in den USA. In Deutschland war/ist es noch die Canon Legria Mini X. Die Legria Mini X ist auch etwas günstiger im Vergleich zur G7X Mark II, kann jedoch im Fotobereich nicht mithalten.Optimal für VlogsSehr praktisch für Vlogs ist das umklappbare Display, welches man sowohl nach unten, als auch nach oben klappen kann. Wenn man es hochklappt, dreht sich die Displayanzeige und man kann sich selbst betrachten. Das hilft sehr beim Vloggen, um den Bildausschnitt zu prüfen. Man läuft anfangs Gefahr immer mal in das Display zu schauen, anstatt in die Linse. Die Kamera filmt, je nach Einstellung, in 1080p 60fps/30fps oder 50fps/25fps. Ich filme in der Regel in 50fps, um etwas Spielraum in der Nachbearbeitung für Slow Motion Aufnahmen zu haben. Beispiele von Video Aufnahmen findest du auf meinem YouTube Channel.Lichtstarkes Objektiv für Fotos und VideosDie Kamera selbst besitzt ein 1:1.8 – 2.8 Objektiv, welches sehr lichtstark ist. Das heißt, du kannst auch sehr gute Aufnahmen im Dunkeln machen. Sowohl Fotos, als auch Videos. Bei den meisten Kameras hört im Dunkeln der Spaß auf und gerade beim Vloggen solltest du auch Abends noch sichtbar in der Kamera sein oder auch in etwas dunkleren Straßen oder Gebäuden. Ich bin sehr begeistert von der Aufnahmequalität im Dunkeln, dafür dass es so eine kleine Kamera ist. Besonders Fotoaufnahmen bei Sternenhimmel sind mit dem integrierten Sternenmodus sehr einfach und sehen immer wunderschön aus. Dazu solltest du aber ein Stativ haben, da die Kamera dann länger belichtet und entsprechend das Bild schnell verwackelt, wenn man es mit der Hand macht.Zoom ist ausreichendDas Objektiv hat einen 4.2-fachen optischen Zoom, was im Grunde nicht viel ist, aber vollkommen ausreichend für Vlogs oder auch normale Content Videos für Youtube. Da man die Objektive nicht tauschen kann, solltest du also vorher genau überlegen, welche Art von Videos du machen möchtest. Bei Fotos fehlt dann natürlich das Teleobjektiv.Bokeh Effekt und Aufnahme ModiDie Canon G7X Mark II besitzt außerdem den Bokeh Effekt. Das heißt, wenn du mit der Kamera etwas näher an Objekte gehst und Fotos oder Videos schießt, wird der Hintergrund entsprechend unscharf gestellt. Das kennt man normalerweise nur von Spiegelreflexkameras. Die Bildqualität der G7X Mark II ist wirklich sehr gut. Für Fotos gibt es auch verschiedene Modi und Effekte. Diese reichen von Sternenaufnahmen, Aquarell und Öleffekten, zu Portraitaufnahmen und Nachtmodus. Da sind wirklich einige dabei. Für Fotos kann man auch zusätzlich HDR Aufnahmen speichern. Das heißt, du kannst deine Fotos später am Computer noch besser nachbearbeiten und die einzelnen Tiefen und Lichter nachträglich anpassen ohne Qualität zu verlieren. Dadurch ergeben sich noch bessere Fotos für deinen Blog oder Instagram.GesichtID einspeichernGenerell empfehle ich dir dein Gesicht als ID zu speichern. Das hilft der Kamera schneller auf dein Gesicht zu fokussieren und stellt dich entsprechend scharf bei Selfies oder Vlogs. Dazu muss man nur in den Einstellungen sein Gesicht in verschiedenen Perspektiven abspeichern. Etwas störend beim Autofokus ist, dass er bei bewegendem Hintergrund, wie Bäumen, immer wieder fokussiert und dadurch ein leises Geräusch bei Videoaufnahmen zu hören ist. Es ist aber nicht weiter dramatisch und fällt mir persönlich auch kaum auf.Kompakter BegleiterFür mich ist die Canon G7X Mark II ein idealer Begleiter auf Reisen, da sie wirklich sehr kompakt ist und trotzdem alle Funktionen beinhaltet, die ich benötige. Wenn du überlegst eine neue Kamera zu kaufen, kann ich dir diese wirklich ans Herz legen. Vor allem, wenn du auch planst Videos für Youtube zu drehen. Natürlich kannst du auch Videos nur für dich drehen. Ein kleines Allround Talent, welches zwischen Einsteiger-Kamera und Spiegelreflexkamera gut angesiedelt ist. Das Problem bei den Spiegelreflexkameras ist, dass sie meist zu unhandlich zum vloggen sind. Für stationäre Videos macht eine Spiegelreflexkamera durchaus Sinn. Preislich macht man mit der G7X Mark II als Einstieg für bessere Fotoqualität und Videoqualität nichts falsch. Gerade auch für Momentaufnahmen unterwegs ist eine kompakte Kamera besser zu handhaben, als eine Spiegelreflexkamera.Fazit zur Canon G7X Mark IIWenn du eine gute Kamera suchst, die du unterwegs auf Reisen mitnehmen möchtest, mit der du hochwertige Instagram Fotoqualität erzielen möchtest oder mit der du deinen Start als Vlogger machen möchtest, dann kann ich die Canon G7X Mark II wirklich weiterempfehlen. Ich bin mit der Kamera wirklich zufrieden bisher und denke es ist eine optimale Kombination.
