Q: Does this flask hold a 400g tin of chunky soup ? And how long does it stay hot for ?

Yes I think it does, if that's the standard size soup tin. I pre-heat my flask for ten minutes with boiling water and fill it with soup at 6:30am and then I eat the soup at about 1:00pm and its still as hot as it was when I put it in.

Q: Does this Thermos still come supplied with the metal twist-out spoon? or is it the plastic telescope spoon?

Yes. The spoon that is very sturdy and works wonder! but the hinges can be difficult to clean so it takes a bit of patience. 5 stars product and I use it every day. Nice size too.

Q: will this size be suitable for both 400g soups and stews? Looking for something for the husband to take to work, he's a lorry driver

The flask easily fits a 400g tin of soup and would definitely be suitable to fill with stew. Keeps things at the perfect temperature, would definitely recommend it, the fold up spoon is very handy.
