I don't know if it's right to call a multimeter cute, but that was my first thought on opening the box. This really is a tiny little thing. It comes with a fabric pouch, and you can squeeze the meter plus leads inside, making it perfect to carry around taking up very little space.Aside from the size and low price, I bought this to try out the automatic function selection, which I've noticed on several other meters I've looked at. Admittedly, this one doesn't have a vast range of measuring functions, but the automatic selection does seem to work well. I suspect more complicated meters will be frustrating, because they might choose the wrong function. When connecting across two wires, how could they tell if you want to test current or voltage? They can't! And drawing unimpeded current might damage the circuit you're testing. But this one doesn't measure current by the test leads, so that problem is avoided.This will be a great meter for carrying around all the time. And as a work tool, it's so cheap that losing it would only be a minor annoyance.I only have one negative to say, the pouch is black, not the best idea if using it for work. Maybe I'll spray paint the bag.

I needed a test meter to test the voltages on my Samsung laptop motherboard as the power adapter stopped working on it. I first checked that the laptop was receiving power by putting the cable inside the clamp meter and holding the NCV button to check of there is power going through it. After finding it was working I then took the laptop apart and went through the solder joints on the DC power in socket and found that I had a couple of dry solder joints (probably due to all the plug in and removing of the power adapter). I removed the older solder and re-soldered the joints and now it works great.The clamp meter is able to read the voltage going through the cable just by putting the cable inside the clamp. Just in case you don’t know about clamp meters there is one thing you need to know, if you put a cable inside the clamp with both live and neutral wires together the meter will not show the current, the reason for this is that they effectively cancel each other out. What you have to do is put the clamp around the positive only or use an AC line separator to safely separate the two cables (you can get a TIS 454 Line Splitter from Test Instrument Solutions for about £35).The meter automatically selects the correct mode when measuring the current so no need to turn any dials.It’s a great clamp meter that is well made compact and does a great job.

I had an issue initially that's been rectified by the seller and I am now forced to review my review as the previous circumstances are no longer true.There's not much to say about this DMM, it's well constructed in terms of durability to the outer shell and it's well within spec in terms of accuracy on both the Amp clamp and Volt test leads. It has NCV which tests for electromagnetic radiation which tells you if a wires live or not by putting the tip of the meter near a wire. It has a light which is nice, lasts for a minute or so then turns off. The continuity tester is auto so it takes a second to latch. It's also a really small device so easy to store it. I guess that's about it.

It's unbelievable sometimes what some companies can achieve.This device is very simple and easy to use.ALlandudno measures are easy to read at the relatively big screen for the price.It's very accurate and build quality is excellent for the price.Already in use for a few months on every day basis without any problems.If you are looking for a budget device this is a great choice

This is a very good product. Forget the Fluke's o fhte world. This tool is very good.

Happy with purchase only used a few times but works great very compact meter will be using this item a lot in the future A++
