The controller uses a 24vac power supply. It comes with a plug in 120vac to 24vac power plug, you would need to order a step down for 220vac to 24vac

My router broadcast in 2.4 and 5 Ghz but rainbird app only recognizes the 5ghz, so doesn't connect; what can I do?.

I had the same issue. I called Rainbird and they assured me my 2.4 /5ghz router would be compatible with the controller. To test it, I connected the new controller to power, in the same location I planned to use it, to confirm it would receive my internet signal and it would connect to my home network. It works perfectly.

will I be able to reprogram the controller from out of town?

Yes. As long as your WiFi connection to your controller is maintained, you will be able to monitor and control your irrigation from anywhere you can access the Rain Bird App.

Can this be controlled when a second one is in another house?

Within the Rain Bird Mobile App, you can add and operate as many Rain Bird controllers as you'd like, even if they're at different properties.
