greatest invention since sliced bread
I work with fish all day, I am professional cutter and lay hands on at least 1000 pounds a day. its very important to protect your hands from fins. I head fish and bed fish with these gloves. The only thing I cant do is filet with them on. In my industry a cut or a sore hand is lost time and lost wages, I couldn't make it without these.

Another one with stitching torn at the wrist
I wanted to like these gloves so much because I handled one fish and they worked great. They are flexible and XXL fit my large hand. Unfortunately the wrist stitching completely ripped out on one fish. I returned them and received a replacement today and the stitching already is coming off the wrist straight out of the package. This would be an awesome glove but there is a serious flaw in the construction or material used at the wrist. The photo is the brand new replacement glove that has never been used. The first glove I bought completely ripped out all the way across the wrist. I’ve seen one post after another about this issue and Lindy must know but they continue to sell them. Shame on them.

Honest feedback
Love it! Pike are slimy to say the least! Performance of this glove is fantastic. I bought medium and it is a bit snug for me, but for me dexterity and comfort is key as I am more apt to fish with it BEFORE i have a fish on, once the fish is in the boat, lets be honest, your chances of letting the fish destroy itself while you put on a glove is likely not going to happen. Not to say this glove is difficult to put on either, but did take maybe 20 seconds after it was wet, but again, i bought the glove tight so I could wear it while I was casting and fishing. If you fish for big toothy fish, you know all to well, things go wrong in a hurry at times when things dont go as planned. Pros: dexterity! Not to clunky like other gloves ive tried. Puncture proof, I'll give it a yes, i did feel a poke once, might have been something in the glove or just a jaw pinch, but no broken skin (and the lord knows they tried!). Confidence: Biggest plus of this glove, it gave me the tools i needed to get the fish in/out of the net and in/out of the boat quickly and I needed less equipment for the job as I could use my gloved hand instead of a mouth spreader for example. Bonus: I was EXTREMELY surprised at the grip I could get on some of the slimiest fish I fish for. I'll be honest, i have had trouble in the past reviving large pike while holding them by the tail, but with this glove it was absolutely done with ease. Cons: The palm side of the glove is abrasive, which is inherent of the puncture proof material, and also gives it the grip ability, however, as i stated before I fished with it on, and with a bait caster I found I ride my thumb during retrieval on the casing of the reel and sometimes on the line itself. I wore the paint off the reel, and I was running coated 30 lb braided, which I noticed fray way earlier than I would have otherwise over 6 days. Remedy: 6" of electrical tape on the left thumb, as I cant seem to re-teach myself to elevate my thumb!I love this glove! In no way do I or have I been put up to this review, hope it helps someone who was looking for the same types of benefits I was looking for.,

They seem to do the job.
These are great. I've yet to bag a state record muskie or northern but I've pulled in a few nice ones. What makes these great? I still have all my fingers! While I have used these a few times, I'll be honest and say I haven't actually used them. I'm not keen on the idea of letting a 50lb angry fish with 700+ teeth chomp down on my hand just to see. I do feel confident that they'll do the trick though. They are only protected on your palm and not the top of your fingers expect on the thumb and part of the index finger.I gave them 4 stars on comfort and that might not be fair. Are they actually comfortable? Nope. They're stiff and somewhat rigid. That's just what they are though. It is only one glove and you're typically buy the glove for your off hand so you can hold the net with your main hand. While I'm sure they dont float long, I did drop the glove getting into the boat once and it floated under the dock and through the other side which was great because I was not going to go swimming under a dock stocked with tiger muskie. If you fish northern pike, muskie, or any other angry tooth filled fish, it's nice to know you've got a bit of protection should you need it. These will always be in my tackle box.

Great Product
This has been one of the greatest finds for my son and my husband. Last year my son had to go to the emergency room to get a barbed hook out of his finger. Earlier this spring my husband had to pull a barbed hook out of his hand while he was in his canoe. I decided I needed to find something that would protect them while taking large fish off of their hooks. This was certainly the right product.I don't recommend this, but my son immediately took a knife and tried to cut the glove and it didn't even phase the glove. He then grabbed several Rapalas to see if the hooks would get caught, and again, the hooks did not get caught on the glove. My husband and son have both been using the left-hand fishing glove since earlier this summer and they both have nothing but good things to say about it. They chose the left glove, because they are both right-handed. This made it easier for them to hold the fish (teeth and all) with the left hand while using pliers to remove the hooks with their right hand.Hope this helps

Saved my thumb, fingers, and hand from multiple Pike teeth punctures and hook jabs this summer
I bought this thinking I'd want it for handling big Pike or Muskies I hoped to catch fishing in Ontario this summer. On the trip I forgot I had this along, and proceeded to allow Pike to cut and puncture my left thumb up quite a bit. After two "events" resulting in a bunch of bandaging I realized I had this glove along, and used it the rest of the trip with EXCELLENT results. Immediately after pulling it out I handled a large thrashing fish and watched in amazement as two treble hooks jabbed the glove's thumb and palm. It would have gone deep into the meat of my hand, but this glove simply repelled the treble hooks easily. No more bloody hands for me (as long as I remember to put the thing one before attempting to handle a fish).

Poor quality - don't buy it
The item came damaged. It's poorly made. The material is extremely strong, but it's not built properly. If you fish in rivers/lake, do not buy this product: the glow is very slippery and not well suited for fishes like pikes/muskies
