A Naughty, Absorbing Good Time
I have now played this game once all the way through and am about halfway through a new one, so I feel well equipped to write a review. The game starts off by letting you pick your main character, who is always female. You are stuck with a teenage son and husband for which there are few customizing options. The game itself is played in 12 episodes. Each episode begins and ends with an animated little skit depending on what the episode will be about, and based on the choices you made. The gameplay itself is fun - you have a choice of interacting with all of the characters on the street including the original DH characters, plus the Mailman, gardener, etc. You can talk to them, seduce them, slap them, kiss them, etc. Each episode plays out based on the choices you make while accomplishing the tasks. The voiceovers are decent - some better than others. Unfortunately once you pass the game, you have to start over because there is only one story line in the game for you and your family. The good parts of the game: the sometimes naughty and hilarious antics of the characters; the cooking mini game is really fun and a bit challenging once you get up to the Culinary Artist category. Now the bad: the game itself is very memory-hogging; the game has frozen my computer a few times and often gets stuck for a minute. The episode skits literally take 10 minutes to load. Things aren't always consistent, either. For instance, you can break into every house on the block and get caught, and the characters will act like nothing happened the next time they see you. (No relationship loss, etc). When you slap a person it doesn't affect your relationship at all either.Overall, however, this game is super fun and addictive. Just make sure you have a computer with plenty of memory, and some patience to wait between episodes!

Fun with the housewives of Wisteria Lane
Just a short review. I purchased this game a couple of weeks ago andwhile I am not a fan of the TV show I did have fun. I completed thegame in a few days and it was fun, though some things did annoy me.The game speed at times frustrated me. I couldn't coordinate on some ofthe cooking tasks because on my computer the game went fast, too fastto keep up with the animation on the chopping and cutting stages on someof the cooking tasks. In the end I ended up scheduling dinner service for my family in the gameand that did help a little. It's a BIG gripe of mine that modern games don't have some sort ofcontrol to make the game either run faster or slower. Would havebeen of much help with my bad eye / hand coordination. But the household tasks obviously are not that integral to the overallgame as long as you meet all the goals and tasks outside of your home, especially the big dramas that concern your son. I AM NOT POSTINGSPOILERS.The graphics were good, very good. The movies were nice and it did feellike an episode of the TV show in several acts.Overall a fun game, but with flaws. I don't think I'd go back for a secondgo at this game unless they created a patch to slow down some of themini games.

Great Game
This is one of those guilty secret pleasures if your a 'normal' guy and while I cant ever admit it to people, I really love this game. Its really fun and addictive, its like the Sims a bit but unlike all those clones that end up sucking, this one does a great job in what it is, a Desperate Housewife Simulator. While the Sims might automate things like cooking and cleaning etc, this game has mini games instead to break up that automation, its not as a simple as telling your sim to cook and let it get done, no you have to participate to cook good. And it works out great, this is really one of the most enjoyable games I've played, and I feel alot of disappointment it probably wont get a sequel, the storyline is also interesting enough to keep you into what otherwise might be monotony of what is a fairly normal suburban housewives life. The biggest problem this game has is bugs, but in my opinion the fun of the game far out weighs the technical problems and made me stick with it to the end. I even keep it installed so i can come back to it from time to time, its just that fun. I feel anyone who enjoys sim like games, or the TV show would be absolutely remiss in not trying this game especially at how cheap the price point is. Just don't forget to download the Patch for the game.

Fun game but couldn’t save
My fiancé and I decided to try out this game as I’ve been getting him into the original series. Unfortunately for us, we couldn’t save the game at all— which meant that we had to dedicate our entire weekend to it to finish. Tried to install it on a different computer and had the same problem

How to Save!
The product came promptly and in good condition. I was hesitant to purchase this after seeing several other reviews claiming that the game did not save, but after searching around on the internet, I found a solution to this issue. Apparently, all you have to do is create new save folders by following the instructions outlined in this Yahoo Ask: [...]The game works pretty-well overall, but sometimes it freezes during startup and I have to use task manager to force quit. I'm usually able to get it working after trying once or twice more.Anyway, this game is actually really fun and has a very Sims-like quality. I don't even watch the show, but I think I might actually check it out now!
