Tou know, I give it 5 stars for the craftsmanship and overqll quality of this product... it’s just great... however, I do preffer taller zafu’s but the fabric that this is covered on makes it slippery, feels comfortable at first but you slowly slide down... not cool, but it may work for you... I still like to use it sometimes and I do recommend it... plus I wish “Shastana” made more products! Or maybe they do but I can’t find them... but if this is the only product they make. They have taken all the care to make these the most amazing meditation cushion out there... for only a few more dlls, you can get this extra large, extra tall, very, very nice fabric zafu. Thanks to this cushioun I am able to sit in meditation for longer with absolutely no problem. Takes a little but to get used to, as it is a bit big. Jumbo! It’s like the La-Z- Boy of zafu’s I like to joke because it’s so comfortable. But I do wish they had a snaller one in diameter... it does look quiet large... depending on your meditation posture this could be a game changer! It’s TALL!!! Which is what you want on a zafu, and if it’s too high you can always adjust it by taking out some of the buckwheat stuffing. Overall I am extremely happy with my zafu and I recommend it to everyone I know that meditates, people ask me about it and I recommend it to anyone reading this review. It may be pricy, but this is the Rolls Royce of zafu’s, this is not a superficial view... it’s about comfort and quality. Totally too notch! Please Shastana! Make a 14” x 7” or 6” and it would be perfection! The 17” diameter is just a little too much for most people....

I bought this to try to be high enough off of the ground to sit cross-legged in order to meditate. Sitting on the ground in such a position is just about impossible due to two knee replacements. This is tall and as advertised, but in my particular situation, I needed the additional support of a more rectangular yoga bolster to get the job done. I truly feel badly about the need to return this, because the craftsmanship is exceptional and it is beautiful. The handle is perfect. Those in a different situation will LOVE this.

Needed a higher standing meditation cushion after using a lower one for eight years, and I was beginning to have back problems and my legs were constantly 'going to sleep'. I LOVE this cushion! All of the afore mentioned problems have vanished. The surface forms to fit whomever is sitting on it and quickly resumes it's original shape. Very attractive pill shape and the material wicks moisture. The buckwheat chip filler is not rigid enabling you to quickly fluff the top back to it's original shape. Can't compliment the designers and makers of this pillow enough. Equally great for old dudes like me, and those just getting started with a meditation practice.

Love this meditation pillow! The large diameter of the pillow makes it extremely comfortable and stable. I'm 5'-4" with short legs and had to adjust the amount of fill in the inner pillow to get just the right height but once adjusted, it conforms to your body and has a solid, grounding feel for meditation. Excellent support for my spine. It's very well mad-very sturdy construction and thick fabric... and looks great in the room. Thank you Sean and Larkin at Shastana for helping me get into the flow of my daily practice. Worth every penny and more.

This is an excellent meditation cushion. I selected it for the quality materials and workmanship, and also because I prefer an extra high meditation cushion. In the past I have usually used two cushions. It would be wonderful if there was an option for a cushion that was even a few inches taller. thanks for the product!

It’s just what I expected... looks good (very neutral and fits in to the room well), seems to be a good value for the money... I use it everyday for meditation... and my 11 year old uses it everyday to sit/jump/stand on (he really gravitates towards it for some reason... good thing it’s well made lol)

This pillow is IT! I'm 5'2 with very thick, short legs. This pillow is dense. It does not give when you sit on it. I felt like it grounded me more and helped my posture. Because of the height I'm able to work on opening my hips by tilting forward. The texture of the pillow works great as it stays in place (no slipping and sliding). Perfect all around. I plan on buying a few more. Also, my cat napping on it.

We ordered two of these meditation pillows, one for my 6'3" husband, and myself; both have a hard time sitting for a period of time to meditate. Because they're a larger size, it's much more comfortable to sit. They are beautifully made, a great neutral color. The fabric is very thick, but soft enough to be comfortable and the cushion itself is very sturdy to sit. When not in use, they're stacked in our living room as part of the décor. Great purchase!
