I bought this knife for cutting sweet potatoes, of all things. I figured the thinner (than my chef's, or santoku ) blade would make it easier to cut those suckers. (They are a bear to cut). Happily for me, i was right. It cuts the sweet taters a lot easier than the others. I'm talking about sharp knives here, too. I'm sure it will cut meat also.I also like the heel guard. I did nip my hand on a knife without one and now prefer the heel guard type.The blade came plenty sharp. I could get it sharper if I wanted. I can't believe the guys that complained about the sharpness. You'd think nobody keeps a knife sharpener in the kitchen. Duh?Anyway, with full tang, nice feel, heel guard and other nice features, for this price I don't think you can go wrong. This was one of my best kitchen purchases. Hope this helps. I saw this knife on an article I read and thought I would try it, It was compared to a very expensive knife, so just take a chance. I even bought 2 of them. I cooked a beef roast today and the recipe called for thin slices, My new knife sliced through it like butter. I love it and it is made extremely well, has a good weight to it and the tang goes all the way to the end of the handle, very good workmanship. thank you for this product

This is a great knife for the price. Very nice quality and very sharp. If you need to add a knife to your kitchen knives this isnot a bad choice. My wife used it the other day and commented that it really worked well and nice to use. Arrived on time and well packed. Also bought 3.5" pairing knife - just as nice. Would recommend this seller.

I purchased this knife to replace a knife that broke in half while under high heat in the dish washer. Stainless steel knives apparently should not be washed in a dish washer. This knife is excellent quality especially for the price. It was not very sharp out of the box but I sharpened it using an electric diamond sharpener in 60 seconds and it is razor sharp now. I am pleased with the purchase and the price.

I am pleased. I am not an expert on blade metallurgy, but this economical offering compliments the forged tang, stainless, "classic" three rivet style. I added it to my mix of Calphalon, Faberware forged, Chicago Cutlery, and Cuisinart, and it fits right in style wise.

I ordered this to use for Thanksgiving and it worked great. I used it to chop onions and celery for stuffing and then used it to carve the turkey. It was nice and a sharp and did the job really well. Totally worth seven bucks.

Needed a good 8” carving knife for Christmas dinner.... this is now in my knife block and a nearly every day “Go To”... my favorite knife, in a kitchen with no shortage of knives. Sharpens well, with just the sharpening steel in my knife block and hold its edge well!

I just got the knife and haven't used it yet. I want to use it on Thanksgiving to carve a turkey. It is sharper than my other knives, which is the reason I wanted it. It will probably work very well.
