My Tivoli PAL no longer played without the AC adaptor - battery totally dead after several years. They say to run this one all the way down before recharging - I've had my for a few weeks now and have used it an hour or so each day - still haven't plugged it in yet. Darn thing won't quit, LOL! It is heavier duty than the original Tivoli battery. You'll need your precision screw-driver to install it into the PAL, which has two small screws on the back battery cover. If you don't have one of those little precision screwdriver sets (5 or 6 small screwdrivers) I bet you can order one here - amazon seems to have everything at the best prices, wish they'd sell groceries so I could eat steak again! Anyway, order the set and come back and thank me later. Then come back and thank me again in a year when you realize how useful it was for so many around-the-house uses. I'm amazed at the hours of play I still get from a single charge - many hours. Not sure how many (estimate more than thirty hours), but I usually end up plugging in for a charge once a week or less, meaning often it's longer than a week between charges; I don't use the radio every day. However, this battery is obviously very strong and was an excellent choice.

I have a 10-year old Tivoli radio that I lug to various social events (beach, picnics, etc) and the old battery wasn't keeping up anymore, so I sought a replacement. This item is a great product. It even came with a charge so it was ready to go straight out of the package.The good:- Came with a charge so it was ready to go.- Perfectly compatible.- Long lasting charge so it provides many, many hours of radio or aux jack usage.- Reasonable price, good value for the usage I'm getting out of it.The bad:- None..!!This is a great item for a fair price. I just got this. comes charged and seems to work perfect. installation was easy. unscrew 2 screws and the connector for the old one snaps out. (don't break the wire.) install the new battery which just snaps into the original connector and you're ready to roll. My ipal is rubberized and the bottom of the battery compartment stuck together after the screws came out. take a thin knife and CAREFULLY insert in the crack the long way and CAREFULLY bend it back and forth and it will come out. total installation (not including finding screwdriver): 2 minutes.good deal to keep a good radio going.

I've had the iPal radio in closet for some time as the battery wouldn't hold a charge. Hurricane Sandy reminded me of the importance of having a radio with a battery available. I looked on the company website first but then thought, "Hey Amazon might sell this". Good call. Now I have a higher capacity battery for a lot less. I followed the instructions on charging it for the first time and still haven't discharged it fully yet. (nearly a week of light listening for a few hours a day). To say i'm impressed is an understatement.

I received this product in good time and read the Instructions which were clear and easy to understand. I did contact the seller and was amazed at the understanding, friendly and curtieous service. In my product review I inadvertently marked the wrong box on customer service. Following the instructiong on the initial set up of the recharable batteries cycle of charge and discharging I am amazed at the 18 plus hours of run time. An outstanding product, and well worth purchasing.

Bought this to replace the original. Worked fine in low use for about 5 years. Just died.

Love my iPal by Tivoli. Best radio in the world. This keeps it humming along for ages, love it!

This battery pack revived my Tivoli PAL.This battery lasts much, much longer than the original pack. I do follow the recommended procedure of letting the radio run until it shuts itself off before recharging. Flashing green light on radio indicating need to recharge begins about a week before unit turns off. My usage is about 30 min. a day. It's been lasting about 3 months between charges.
