Shanasana Soft Handled Garlic Press (Incredibly Strong Stainless Steel) Also Called Garlic Crusher or Garlic Mincer - Incredible Tool for Any Kitchen - Dishwasher Safe

Really thought I'd like this press; it's easy to clean, has voluminous capacity and large surface area for the garlic to pass through. However, when compressing cloves, the plastic handles flex, absorbing much of the torque and leaving too much garlic behind in the press well; very unproductive. I inserted 3 peeled cloves, but removed at least one-half of that when cleaning the mesh, left with a small amount of pressed bulb. Very disappointed. Going back to my old press that is no fun to clean and tends to corrode, but at least, efficiently pumps out pressed garlic.10-9-17: Amending this review. Customer service gave me option of refund or another press to try, with refund if that didn't work; thought was the original was flawed in some way. I accepted the replacement unit. Ran 3 cloves through new one, then took the remains of the cloves that didn't make it through the screen, placed it in my 30 year-old press to see how much this "Soft Handled" press had left behind. Result: Not much. I'll now use this press on a regular basis. It's not perfect, but doubt there's a perfect press out there, and it's better than my old number. i have had an issue with the first deliver and the company exchanged the product. I have been a happy customer until today when it brokes, but I know I am not the most gentle person in the world so I dont believe is the product fault but mine. It squeezes better than some metal products i had on the past.

Sometimes it squeezes big pieces out the sides of the grate, and it doesn’t seem to be strong enough to get all the garlic through I mix it and push it through a second time and still have remains left.

Used it twice and already broke

Feels a little cheap. I bought to replace lost garlic press. I think I will eventually buy a metal one again , as this plastic feels like it will break soon. Okay for the price.

I wanted a cheap garlic press and that is exactly what I got. This gets the job done, but does not crush the garlic all the way through.

The rivets popped out with the very first garlic glove I attempted to crush. What a waste of money. Next time I will buy a metal one. However, the company replaced the press FREE OF CHARGE. Not the best press but it works.

So hard to clean the inside. I am now opting to chop up my garlic
