Doesn't feel like 260gsm to me!
Nothing wrong with this paper EXCEPT it feels thin to me. I have for some years used Go Inkjet Paper 260gsm but it is just not available on Amazon and P&P from Go Inkjet direct made it uneconomical (or so i thought!). I decided to try this PPD paper which I thought would be the same quality. It isn't and although it is impossible to prove I doubt this paper is 260gsm OR what I was using from Go inkjet was substantially more than the quoted 260gsm. This stuff is OK for using on greeting cards and other craft uses but using it for stand alone A4 photos is not something I would want to present to anyone. There's nothing wrong with the gloss surface or the print quality it just doesn't feel like a "quality" product. I am going to use it for craft and get something better for photos as such.2 months later - I was so disappointed with the feel of this paper that I have now weighed 16 sheets (=1sqm) of this paper on 2 different sets of very accurate scales and get 223gms. I can't be bothered to go through the Amazon return process but if some from PPD would care to comment I would be very interested.

A challenge to work with
This paper turns up in a plastic wrapper and at first appearance, it's quite a heavy paper with what I would describe as a medium gloss. Certainly not as glossy as the Epson paper that I've used in the past. For all that, given that the photo will be behind glass, it's still perfectly acceptable as a print medium. At 260g/sq m, the photo paper is factionally heavier than the Epson paper (255g/sq m) and that poses a challenge for the Canon Pixma printer. For starters, it fails to feed unless inserted in a particular direction. After a couple of occasions where the paper did not pickup, I turned it through 180 degrees and the printer happily picked up first time. A few more attempts at printing and I was able to confirm that this paper seems to have a certain unidirectional requirement in the Pixma printer. The biggest challenge however is that it struggles with a leading margin. My print job had a 5mm leading margin and every time, it would fail to register. I was fortunate enough to have one page of the Epson paper remaining and with exactly the same print settings, the margin was properly respected. It would seem that the slightly heavier nature of this paper means that very fine borders will be a challenge. Ultimately it will get used for anything that needs a generous white space around the picture itself but another paper will be required for finer, borderless printing.

Not glossy as in...GLOSSY!
Thought I'd try this paper as the price was attractive. Arrived next day before dinner time (sorry, I'm not from the south so I mean "lunch" time) Tried it out immediately. I have an Epson 750 and run it on generic inks. No problem with the print colour, dried immediately with no smudging. My only problem was with the printer. As I think another reviewer mentioned the prints came out with a couple of light, but noticeable crease lines. Luckily the 750 has a top loading facility and using that solved the problem. Of course, with paper this thick it's a one sheet at a time job. Plus, every sheet you put in, the printer ejects the first time but prints as good as gold when you put it back in! A bit tiresome but unless there are stacks of printing to do it's alright. The paper is advertised as "glossy" but is not what I would call glossy, more semi gloss or satin. But the results, so far, seem good. What I was after was glossy paper which I will have to search for again but this paper will not go to waste, there are lots of uses I can put this to.
