Steak Knife Set of 6 Pieces Stainless Steel Serrated Fine Edge, Premium Steak Knife

Both weight and balance are excellent. This set was bought to replace a well-used set of H. brand knives. I loaded them into a knife block I had. The spacing on my block for the steak knives is 5/8th of an inch which is a bit narrow for this set. This is fine. It simply means they have a better handle to what I previously owned and a nice metal end at the butt of each knife, giving it extra substance and finish. My first test of these knives was to trim the fat off a steak and it did so nicely and cleanly. The 7Cr17MoV stainless steel is brilliant. Instructions note that ok for dishwasher, but recommend hand-wash, which I find the excess dishwashing probably led to my last set of a different brand wearing out as far as finish. Handsomely boxed and suitable as a gift and contains a polishing cloth as well as care instructions and spec information. Recommended for anyone who wants a quality knife for everyday elegance and performance.

Ordered these because they were a reasonable price and matched my Wustof set. The blades out of the box weren't very sharp and they are chisel grind edge which aren't compatible with my sharpener. Most people won't notice the sharpness because even a serrated plastic knife will cut through things. The handles were also a bit thick which made them a very tight fit in my block which actually flex the two outer knives away when inserted. I put them right back in the packaging and sent them back. I figured for another $50 I can get an Wustof Gourmet set that will probably last three times as long.

I've had this set for about 2 years, and have only used these knives for cooked meat. Never opened plastic bags with them. The serrated part is pretty much useless at this point, so I'm going to invest in higher quality steel. At least I can keep sharpening the non-serrated part.

The knives are heavy and they feel good but the durability is terrible. This is the fourth knife I have had break in almost the same place. These weren’t dropped or thrown around, they literally came out of the dishwasher in two pieces every time. The first time or two I thought it was just a fluke but today I pulled another knife out of the dishwasher and just had to warn people that these do not hold up well at all.

knives look good and work ...ok if you don't mind sawing what you want to cut. If the knives were sharp enough to cut without "sawing" they would be great.

Handles are a little shorter than our previous knives however fit nicely in the hand. Good weight.

I guess one can spend more if they want, but this attractive knife set works like a charm. Serrated edge cuts through steak like a butter knife through, well, butter. Could not be any more pleased.

Have used these a couple of times now, and good in the hand.
