Five Stars
With the latest update being able to put it into practice mode, this app is right for me.

Great potential but lousy reality!
I really don’t know why i bought this sensor, it’s my second one from zepp (i have the Generation 1 also) and the impression that i have is that they never played tennis... Ok let me explain why! Most off the people practice more than play ! It’s hard to set the app to practice mode, to bee honest I’m not sure if i got it yet!Once you get to record your “session” the data collected is not well presented! You can only access a short lousy resume of your session, “X” forehand shots with “YY”% on sweet spot, average speed and average rotation, and that’s all you are going to get, forget to analyze you data and you shots over time! This second generation sensor is much better than the previous one, smaller, smarter, have a better mount (i do use the insert mount), and you don’t have to calibrate before use it, they really improved the sensor itself, but the app is really the week point.I really don’t recommend this sensor. I have tried other brands, and there is better options at least for me! I still prefer the discontinued Sony smart Sensor ... soo far the best one ...

Useful to track your progress but manage your expectations, it's not a radar gun
Update April 7, 2019The app is now capturing almost all my strokes instead of discarding half of the strokes from the sensor, so I'm revising my review. I don't know if they changed anything or now but now I getting approximately the correct number of strokes in the app instead of half. The major benefit of this for me is monitoring the % of the time you hit the ball in the sweet spot. When I first bought the original sensor, I only hit in the sweet spot about 10% of the time on my backhand. After seeing this I have worked hard to improve and now hit in the sweet spot about 60% of the time. Without this sensor I wouldn't have realized this, so I wouldn't have worked on it. Note that a coach could spot and fix this, but this allows you to monitor this for every match and is cheaper than having a personal coach. The original sensors (I bought 2) eventually stopped linking to my phone and/or charging so I gave up on them. When the new sensor came out I was skeptical because of this history, but I eventually bought one to maintain my awareness of my sweet spot %. I already had 5 original flex mounts on my racquets, so I was pretty ticked off that they changed the shape of the sensor to force us to buy new mounts at $15/each. However, I have found that if you wrap duct tape around the new sensor to increase it's diameter, it will work with the original flex mounts. The speed and spin numbers are obviously just relative between your own sessions, since it doesn't have enough information to calculate radar gun type precise numbers, but they can be useful to show your progress. If you want radar gun type speed accuracy, this is not for you. But, if you want to track sweet spot % and see session-to-session speed and spin trends, then this will do that. It's also kind of neat to start tracking how many balls you hit. Some suggestions for improvements - we should be able to edit our sessions - more than just the name. If you haven't synced the sensor to the app before you go out to hit, the session will be recorded with the date of the last time you synced. It would be very useful to be able to correct the date. Also, I initially had difficulty syncing which is why I have a lot of sessions with the wrong date. My tip is ALWAYS, 1. Open the app on the phone with the sensor off, then 2. Turn on the sensor - if you have the sensor on and then turn on the app it can be difficult to sync.BTW, the charger is much better on this version 2 sensor - the original was very difficult to position precisely so that it would actually charge. Also, one of the reviews said they had trouble determining if the sensor was On/Off - it's very easy - momentarily push the button on the sensor - if nothing happens it's Off, if the battery status light comes on it's On - easy peasyOriginal reviewI played for 2 hours and then opened the app, which said that I had 1300 strokes on the sensor and did I want to discard them or store them as a Practice session. I said to store and it never told me that it was done downloading. However, now I have a Practice session that has 660 strokes, so it seems to have lost about half my strokes. To test this, I went out and hit exactly 50 strokes - then I opened the app and it said I had 50 strokes on the sensor and I chose to store them as a Practice session. Again, it never indicated that it was downloading, never indicated that it was finished downloading and now I have a Practice session with 24 strokes, so half my strokes were "lost" again. So, it will tell you your max and average speed and rotations and ball speed, but it is unknown whether this is just based on the half of your strokes that it stores, or based on all of your strokes, including the half that it discarded. Until it stops losing half of your strokes (which the app knows about when it first connects), I cannot recommend this product. Find another brand if you want a tennis sensor.

Quirky Zepp 2 Tennis Sensor
I was always curious about tennis sensors and was set on purchasing the Babolat Pure Aero Play tennis racket with built-in sensor technology. Since it was very expensive - $350 - I decided to try a lower priced option - the newly released Zepp 2 Tennis Sensor.I attached the Zepp 2 to my 2017 Wilson Burn 100S tennis racket, using the provided "insert mount". In the Wilson tennis racket, I popped out the "W" cover with a small screwdriver and inserted the Zepp provided "insert mount".After charging the Zepp 2 sensor, I attached it to my racket by turning it into the racket mount. It seemed secure to me, but it does stick out.I installed the free Zepp app from the iTunes store on my iPhone 7. It easily found and connected to my Zepp device. After playing two matches, I checked the recorded stats on my iPhone. The statistics look alright -but not very detailed - I was hoping for better.Having played a few matches, I can now report my findings on this new Zepp 2 Tennis sensor.Positives:* $100* Works well with my Wilson Burn 100S racket (and without any special adapters)Negatives* The sensor sticks out at the end of the racket (and I find the extra length obtrusive). I did not like it's presence when changing hand grips.* Why didn't the designers allow it to be placed inside the racket? There is plenty of room inside the racket's handle* Turning it off/on is really stupid:Holding the on/off button for 4 seconds turns the sensor off or on - but whether or not it's turned on or off is hard to tell. A separate OFF/ON buttons would have been nice.* There is no "on" indicator - the designers should have at least used a blinking led or something. Once when I though I turned it on - I actually turned it off. (The difference is in the white blinking led: 2 quick blinks means zepp is on; dimming white led means it is off). What were the engineers thinking?* Charging cable is also poorly designed. Why invent a whole new connector when a micro-USB would have worked as well? It kept falling off my zepp.* Zepp iTunes app was a bit buggy. One time, it locked up while syncing with the Zepp sensor.

Dont think it is very accurate
Battery doesn't last long. I am averaging 80 miles and hour first serves and I know for a fact it I serve faster than that.
