This box offers a great variety of conversation starters with young children.I work as a children's therapist and I have found those to be a collaborative tool to help children talk about how they are feeling. There are four types of cards in the box that cover various topics: feelings, mindfulness, self-esteem, and wellbeing. Each card focuses on a specific theme and provides information that normalises experiences that a lot of children might relate to. On the back of each card, there are questions that can prompt children to think about their own experience. This can be a great tool for adults that would like to encourage children to express themselves.

A helpful set of cards to get children talking about issues that are troubling them such as loss, difficult emotions such as anger and cards to start incorporating mindfulness from a young age. Lots of age appropriate prompts to engage a child.

The cards are sturdy, a good size and colourful. They came boxed so all round good presentation. The cards are split into 4 groups: Self esteem, Mindfulness, Feelings and Well Being. They are a great tool to help kids give voice to their thoughts and emotions. We played it as a game with the adults also fully participating so it wasn’t a spotlight just on the child. I would strongly recommend these for anyone who needs to explore their confusion and emotions. They are a great way of helping to express , explore and clarify life’s big and small problems.
