It just works.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:This thing is literally perfect. You tap the top of it to mute and unmute, and it has different color indicators that you can choose-- I chose dim red for when I'm muted and bright green for mic on. It's designed with 'levels of integration'; on the deepest level, it will fully sync it to Zoom (that way if you happen to click mute or unmute on the Zoom window rather than by using the device, the device will still change to the corresponding color), or if you don't want anyone to see that you're muted, you can do a lower level of integration (and you can change back and forth between the levels of integration in the mute me app!!) so that the device is muting your whole system. This is what I do. It took me a couple days to remember not to use mute/unmute on the Zoom window, but now it's seamless. If you care about still being able to use the onscreen controls, be sure to double check the specific app that you use to see what level of integration is available. I sometimes use Google Meet if a student has a poor internet connection, and for that one, the deep integration is unavailable-- you can still use the device, but if you mute yourself using the google meet window rather than the device, the device will still indicate that mic is on. Buttons:You lightly touch the top of the device. It's very responsive and works every time. I'm someone who will spend money on a single-purpose device if it works really well, and I'm in Zoom all day, so this was totally worth the money for me. I also bought a macro key that works with Better Touch Tool and coded that to switch from my face camera to my whiteboard camera, and these two devices together have made me so much more efficient.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Game-Changer for Remote Meetings
I’ve been working remotely for a few years now, and the MuteMe button has quickly become one of my favorite desktop tools. It does exactly what it promises, lets you mute and unmute yourself with a simple touch, and gives you a bright visual indicator of your mic status. What I like:Instant Feedback: The light is bright and easy to see. I never wonder whether I’m muted during a call anymore.Touch Sensitivity: The capacitive touch works well, even with light taps. No need to press hard.Cross-platform: I use Zoom, Teams, and Meet, and it integrates with all of them once you install the software.Design: Sleek, compact, and doesn’t clutter my desk.A couple things to note:You do need to install the free software for it to work, but it was quick and straightforward on both Windows and Mac.If you're switching between multiple meeting apps often, make sure you have the right profile selected in the software.Overall, it's a simple idea executed really well. It makes video calls less stressful and more professional, no more accidental unmuted moments!Would I recommend it?Absolutely, especially if you're in and out of meetings all day. It's a small investment with a big productivity (and sanity) payoff.

A little piece from corporate heaven.
There are only a few minor reasons why I might not like this product, but far more reasons why I absolutely do. This is a solid, American-made product that has truly impressed me. The closest alternative I've used is a wired headset with a mute button, but I don’t care for those. What I love about this device is its visibility and functionality. It's always in front of me, easy to access, and I can seamlessly set it up to sync with my softphones. I can even configure it so that when a call comes in, MuteMe turns green to indicate the microphone is active. This feature gives me a sense of control over my audio, boosting my confidence both during and outside of calls. I never have to worry about whether someone can hear me on the other end. This is an excellent product as it stands, and I can’t imagine what a new model would improve upon. I really like it just the way it is.

Works well most of the time
This is a cool product that really helps ensure you're muted when needed, which is a great feature for frequent virtual meetings. However, I’ve had some issues with it needing updates to stay compatible with Teams, and at times, it gets out of sync. Despite that, I’ve used it non-stop since I got it, and while it works the majority of the time, there are definitely moments where it can be frustrating. Overall, it's a useful tool but could benefit from some improvements in reliability.

Very Useful Peripheral Mute/Unmute Button
If you spend a lot of time on Teams, Zoom, or Google Meet calls during your work day and are juggling applications all over your screen/s, this mute button is can be very handy. This button allows you to not have to navigate to the call window to mute/unmute.The software is pretty easy to setup and they have a lot of resources to help you along the way. Their FAQ section is incredibly comprehensive. The software sits in the background and you can even close out of the window while continuing to use the button. The button itself feels worth the money. It is a stainless steel looking/feeling capacitive touch 'button'. It has never misregistered a touch when there wasnt one or missed a touch of the button that I intended.Overall, if you are looking for a physical mute/unmute button, I think this is a great option.
