Great way to expand your photography skills.
I took up photography a couple of years ago (which I love) and the best thing I've done is take classes at my local community college. I not only learn from the instructor, but my fellow students as well. One of the best things about taking a class is I have assignments I need to complete that involve subjects or techniques I wouldn't normally use. It's just human nature to stay in our comfort zone, and I can't do that when taking a class which has dramatically improved my photography skills. That's what these cards do for you. Each card is a little assignment that includes the task, a pro tip and some example shots. They don't include much detail, but YouTube is a tremendous resource that includes a lot of professional photographers sharing their insights so look there if you want to dive deeper. These cards are a great way for me to stretch my skills between semesters and I recommend them to anyone who wants to improve their photography.

Very Awesome. Did my first card / challenge today. Nailed it.. I like the concept. Definitely going to improve my photography skills. Highly recommend. this kit have so many different ideal and tips, love it.It’s a good idea to help new photographers think of subjects to shoot but not at that price.

Good Ideas Well Presented
Like authors, photographers are often asked where they get their ideas. Many who wish to be a photographer of note see that many images are those they could have produced if only they had had the idea. This stack of cards will produce many ideas. It’s not instant for all of them. For example, two of the three sunrise examples use fog to great effect but the sort of fog shown is rare. One out of dozens of sunrises will look anywhere near that. Still, the point isn’t necessarily to reproduce the example images as if this was Suzuki Method Photography but, in this case, to be at a good set at sunrise to catch whatever nature throws at you.I found no throwaway or useless suggestions in any of the cards. In addition, the purchase includes a PDF download that in many ways I liked better than the cards. All that’s well and good but there’s a missing piece and that’s technical. There are no instructions on how these images were made as far as ISO, lens, camera, shutter speed or f/stop. Some, if not all, were reworked in post. To use these cards and the downloaded PDF you’ll need a solid working knowledge of your equipment and at least a rudimentary knowledge of post processing.I think the inclusion of how the photo was taken and at least some notes on post processing is important if the author includes images at all. It's the only part of this deck that disappoints me.Many of these ideas can be done with a phone camera especially one of the new ones that use computational processes to produce often stunning JPEGs. However, while a few will work with a phone, many either will not or produce indifferent results.I recommend this stack and the downloaded PDF for anybody who feels they need a bit of a kickstart to get their snapping to the next level. I randomly pulled a few cards and then did the exercise. Although I’ve been shooting since my film days and now am an amateur ex-pro, I feel I got to benefit from having done so. You’re never too old or too experienced to learn.

Effective tool for multiple skill levels
If you create, whether for fun or for a living, you know the feeling of the dreaded "block." The ideas stop flowing, or aren't as good as they used to be, leaving you in a rut. This little deck helps you break the block, and encourages you to stretch beyond your usual ways of doing things. For an amateur, it's a great way to get acquainted with some basic principles; for more-advanced photographers, it's a return to basics, which can be useful in its own way.As a few others have noted, there's no information presented on the more technical side of photography. That's the only reason I'm taking a star off. I could see this being a great supplement to a more in-depth resource, like a how-to, but it's perfectly serviceable as it is. Although I got the Portrait set initially, I'm sure I'll be branching out to the other decks in the series shortly.

Good for a beginner or even an advance hobby photographer
I have been a serious hobby photographer for over a decade, and I really like these cards. There are a lot of good tips and info on these. I really wish that I had these starting out. While some of this is stuff I already knew, there is a lot here that I didn't know and I like the suggestions for projects esp since I tend to fall into a rut. This would make a great gift for the photographer in your life.

There cards are handy if you come to some artistic block in landscape photography. They give you some good prompts and have a varied set.

Hält was es verspricht...einfach genial...genial einfach...
DANKE!
