Carter Fedora Panama Hat Natural Straw Stylish

This is a fine, comfortable hat. The 7-3/8 (my usual size) was just a hair too large, but the hat comes with size extenders and I already have a bunch of those anyway, so it was a cinch to fix. The profile is very much like the display photos. The crown may be a bit shallow for some folks, but for me, it's perfect and it rests right above the tips of my big ears. I have a couple of old Panamas that I got directly from Ecuador years ago that have an even tighter weave, but they cost as much as this back in the day and would be twice as much today. I'm bringing it with me to Vegas this weekend, so I can rock bourbon and cigars in the casino in style.

Bought this hat sight unseen based on photos and reviews. I needed something to use in sunny South Florida for a more elegant and complete sun protection than my baseball caps. This is a very high quality breathable Panama hat that looks even sharper on than in photos. If you size it perfectly to drop just above your eyebrows and ears you will get an amazingly comfortable fit. The only thing I would like is a low profile thin leather attachment for keeping it from blowing away in high wind! Otherwise it's perfect!

I ordered a hat that was 1/8 too big. Ultrafino exchanged it without question. You do have to pay the return shipping but if you cant afford that you should not be buying this hat. Beautiful weave, extreme quality. I could not be more pleased. And the new size fit perfectly.

This hat is very impressive, looks better than the pictures. The weave is tight and uniform,blocks the sun very well. Also the hat is not lacquered, which is hard to find from online retailers, this was important to me as the lacquer interferes with breath ability. The style of this hat also looks really nice. It's a center dent crown, which I prefer over c crown or teardrop shaped crowns, although nothing wrong with those styles. I'm tired of wearing baseball caps or ugly boonie or even uglier looking synthetic fabric sun hats for summer, this hat looks 100 times better. If the price of this Carter is a bit too much, the Gatsby (regular or vented) fedora looks to be very similar for less.I ordered the hat late at night and contacted Ultrafino via their customer service chat window the next morning, I asked them to send me one of their wider brimmed hats, since brim sizes vary a little. I was very satisfied with their customer service which said they would make a note on my order; the hat I received was even a little wider than the range given on their website, nice.
