Built well with a great price
I've owned plenty of knives over the years, but this is one of the better ones especially with the lower cost. It feels sturdy and the blade doesn't wobble like some of the cheap ones I've tried in the past. It came sharp and with only minor care it still holds the edge.Keep in mind the handle is slightly curved, so getting the angle on the knob for the assisted open can be tricky at first.

Build quality is great and it will last a long time
Build quality is great and it will last a long time. The only negative thing I can say is that it is a little hard to open. I'm sure with some time and use it will become easier.

My EDC
Tough little knife. I carry it daily and it holds a decent edge. The slight curve was a little different but functions well.

I recommend passing on this one
I have a Bear hunting knife that I really like and wanted an every day carry knife from them. I tried to like this knife but it just didn't work out.As others have stated, the clip is awkward, and I'm not sure if you can even remove it. It is mounted internally somehow and when it's loose, it can't be tightened easily, if at all. After a few weeks of carrying it, I noticed the steering wheel on my truck was getting checked. Come to find out, the clip was scraping the wheel when I was getting in and out of the truck. The blade was sharp from the factory, but it's impossible to sharpen with a flat stone. The concave curvature of the blade does not lay flat and you won't be able to sharpen inside the curve. The blade deployment seems to be unsafe for me. You can't really get a good grip on the handle while flipping the blade out. It has flipped out of my hand on more than one occasion. So I chose a different knife from another "high end" manufacturer and have been more than pleased with it. Live and learn, unfortunately this one was a waste of money in my opinion.

Showed me what I DON'T want in a knife!
I bought this knife because it got a positive review in a magazine I receive. If return shipping cost wasn't so high, I would have definitely sent it back. I read a couple reviews here that said it was awkward to open and I just thought they were stupid. I was wrong. I have A LOT of knives, and there's just something wrong with the geometry here as far as placement of the thumb knob relative to the blade pivot. If you get it just right, it's fine, but you have to get it just right. My bigger complaint is actually getting it out of my pocket! Two strikes there. The pocket clip is all the way out at the end, so it rides very low, making it tough to get a hold of. But additionally, the surface of the handle is very coarse on the clip side, which makes it really drag inside your pocket while trying to pull it out. So it's hard to get out of your pocket and hard to deploy the blade. Once it's out, it feels good in the hand, but surprisingly, I think it's the first knife I ever bought that didn't make me say 'wow that's sharp'. And as mentioned in other reviews, the belt clip comes loose and can't be tightened. I've bought much better knives for much less money. This one is going to the back of the knife drawer...unfortunately.

Great Value
I have a drawer full of knives like this, and this one is impressive. Made in the US and it shows. Nice construction and fit, especially in view of the price. The assisted opening action isn't quite as smooth as a Ken Onion knife but it's close. Recommended.

Very pleased. Safe and a hit with Scout leaders and buy American patriots.
Really surprised by the quality and craftsmanship of this knife for the price. This was a hit a Scout Camp and no one had any issue with the thumb opening - even Boy Scouts could easily open it quite safely. As a long standing Kershaw and Spyderco customer for EDC - this one will also be in the rotation. Nicely done. Now looking at more Bear Edge - made in America a huge plus!!

GREAT knife! I am more than happy.
GREAT knife! I got really tired of stopping what I was doing in my reno/refurb of my old house to use both hands to open my multi-tool to the correct blade. The multi-tool is great for general purposes, but I needed a blade I could access quickly and easily. I keep the blades really sharp so I can't leave them open safely with the cats pouncing around. This is quick and easy. I can reach and grab it and flip it open with one hand and continue with what I was doing without releasing my hold with the other hand. The blade sharpens nicely and retains the edge well. Delivery was prompt and without problems. I always loved my Case knives in the past and these "new" owners have continued a great tradition.
