Do not buy this spreader! Looks high quality from pics but it is very low quality. The gears stripped after my first use with only 30 pounds of fertilizer. Save your money and buy an earthway spreader. Or buy a cheaper scotts spreader

The impeller, that spreads the fertilizer, would not spin properly, with the weight of the fertilizer in the hopper ! It worked great, empty !!

I had occasion to visit a friend who had just received this spreader and needed some help with assembly and use. The hopper is a good size, but of comparably thin molded poly which allows the thin support frame to flex when walking with a full (15M bag) hopper. The calibration process was hindered when the lock nut would not remain locked, changing the amount applied. Not good for even application of fertilizer, and critical if applying insecticide, herbicide, or fungicide. Keep in mind that if NOT using their products, calibration is necessary. And we found the recommended settings were off. And calibrating is a pain! I hated to be the bearer of bad news, but Ron is glad I did, and is getting rid of the thing. for smaller lawns there are plenty of affordable machines out there that perform much better, dollar-for-dollar. Jonathan Green company has a poor track record for consistent quality, and they do not fail to disappoint again.

No need for a long review, bottom line, it’s a piece of junk, don’t waste your money.--- I have used numerous spreaders over many years, this is one of the worst by far.
