Fabulous chrome book, I chose this one for my emusic library it has a good size screen and sits nicely on my music stand and with a Bluetooth pedal I can easily turn the pages without missing a beat

Runs hot and the screen is too dim.
I've used a 14" Acer Spin Chromebook before, but this one is far heavier, it runs hotter than my Windows laptop (whereas the other one I use doesn't get warm at all) and the screen is so dim there's no chance of using it in bright conditions because it's reflective. I don't know whether this is an old model or whether the one I received is defective. Amazon were no help and want to charge me to return it.

Good for Cloud games
I play the cloud game Elvenar, have done for a few years. This Chromebook allows trouble free playing wherever I am.The screen is a good size and bright with great colour rendition, the touch screen function is excellent!The CPU provides seamless gameplay although it does start to run a bit too hot after an hour, but soon cools down. When not playing this is not an issue.Speakers are reasonable, a little tinny but I just use the bluetooth to listen via my hearing aids and ear buds.Touchpad is trouble free smooth and clicks well.Keyboard is a delight to type on and would have been perfect with backlighting but at this price you can't expect that.I have had the Acer 517 and to be honest there was little difference, in fact the touchpad was not as good and gave me a lot of trouble. It's big heavy and not worth the extra money.I have dropped this 314 three times on a carpeted floor with no damage so the build is good enough for the odd accident.Wifi works well.The bits I don't like are.1: the lack of a second "c" usb on the right side. The other usb ports are becoming a bit outdated but you can get an adapter, not that the port will work as fast as a c usb and 2: the screen is rather stiff to open but thats a small problem.I think its the best Chromebook in its price range. I would buy it again.
