For the Laser Pecker, the Shield is absolutely essential. Some applications are limited by the included cone-shaped shroud with the fan (which is really handy too). The shield makes observation and alignment (with protective glasses) very easy indeed without having to move the laser pecker up and down.

Versatile and needed. Blocks the laser from causing eye damage. Easy to assemble however you need it. Would def recommend.

There is no nm laser range of protection in description and they are selling this as a laser shield. Yes, their machines may not damage eyes but what about other machines? I purchased for my fiber laser and used this item in confidence. I noticed my vision has been a little blurry lately, upon further research the company does not list nm range and also does not answer my questions when contacting them. I am convinced this is just orange glass they are selling, and should be held accountable for any damages caused by misinformation on the website and amazon page.

This magnet protective cover is helpful, but it doesn’t fully contain the smoke. All four sides are closed, but the top is open, which allows smoke to escape. It would be much more effective if the top were also enclosed and included a hole for connecting a smoke suction tool. That would really improve its performance and keep the workspace cleaner.
