Zinc L-Methionine has good bio-availability, however, this supplement mixes it with Zinc Aspartate (according to Wikipedia, there are no specific bio-availability studies for it) with no percentage value, so it's difficult to tell how much you are getting from which ingredient.They also include two forms of Magnesium but would have preferred Copper Gluconate in a 15:1 ratio to maintain a good copper-zinc ratio. If they insist on Magnesium as part of formulation, I would have preferred Magnesium Glycinate over Magnesium Oxide.Finally, they mention 3rd party testing. I wish they would have provided the results in the product page for that.

The zinc+magnesium combination has been around d for a long time but I never understood the point of it. If it's just the combination of zinc and magnesium, and you're getting enough of both, then whats the advantage of taking this?So I finally tried it, but took it before a workout rather than bedtime as directed. This is totally subjective, but I think it made my workout better. Am I crazy?They want you to take it at bedtime on an empty stomach. That seems a lot to ask, because that's one time my stomach is never empty. But before a workout it is. There are some good reason to take some supplements on an empty stomach, particularly where amino acids are concerned, and that may be more the focus here than the minerals.Imwould love to know what the thinking is here or what research points to this, but I can't find it. All I know is that it seems to help and it's been offered as a product by several reputable companies for sports purposes.

I took two on an empty stomach at night but noticed no difference in my sleep and was still just as sore in the morning after a good workout the day before. I wasn't happy that no info was given as to where they are made either, only where they're distributed. For the increase in price, they just aren't worth it to me.

There are no surprises here. This is a standard ZMA formulation and appears to be of good quality. The combination of zinc and magnesium tends to be relaxing for most people. I would include myself in this group. If I'm taking a supplement that contains zinc, I usually take it right before going to bed. That's when I'm taking these capsules. The capsules have no discernible taste or smell. At least not to me. The only issue I have with this supplement, is that the serving size for men is three capsules. That's only thirty servings. In my opinion, that makes this supplement overpriced. There's nothing exotic here. It's zinc, magnesium and B6. Other than the price, it's fine.

I've taken ZMA a few times from several different companies over the last 5 years and I've always encountered a problem where the pill dissolves and causes powder to come out of my nose. However, I did enjoy the effects of the product itself when I was using it for sleep, which made it a win/lose situation.With Bucked Up's version, I found the pills were extremely easy to swallow and I did not run into the problem of the powder coming back up. I also had a really good sleep and found myself with less soreness from my workout the night before.Overall, I will say this product is on the pricier side for ZMA. But, since I haven't had the problem that I experienced with the cheaper versions of ZMA, I think the extra price is worth it for me personally. Will likely stick with the brand from here on out.

I got this package on 11/2023, and the listed expiration date (see image #2) is in one month. That's a bit close folks.Package was properly sealed with a bottle overwrap and a mouth seal.No particular odors upon opening.Serving sizes are different for men versus women. Men's serving size is three capsules. Womens', is two. So there's a 30 day supply here for men, a 45 day supply for women.The bottle art is actually excellent, some of the better I've seen. You know what I didn't see on it though? A specific reference to where the product was made. I found "Distributed by" on there. I found a reference to the registered trademark involved. But nothing, at all, concerning where it was actually made.This review lost two stars simply for delivering a product with literally only 30 days on the clock before it's expired.
