Very good used for its purpose.

Decent substitute for Krups original
Using this carafe is slightly different from using original equipment. The Krups cap sticks tightly into this generic carafe. Removing lid when coffee finishes brewing can result in steam or wet burns. Also, you have to pour at a slower rate than with original equipment, in order to avoid back-spillage. I have adapted, and will use this until it gets broken. Then, I will order a Krups!

Great Replacement for Older Braun Espresso Maker
This carafe is almost identical to the original carafe that broke after 20 years, except the handle is hollow, not solid and has a cap at the end of the handle that has come out accidentally, but I just fit it back in and it doesn't affect performance. A simple replacement has kept my old espresso maker functioning a bit longer. The original lid fits pretty well into the top, but it is slightly loose and this did not have an option for a lid, so I am not sure one is really necessary.
