Excellent for grabbing remote WiFi signals on a boat
I've used the MikroTik Groove products for 3+ years on my boats, and many other customers and clients boats. It is an excellent device to stick outside on an arch or spreader, and will grab a remote WiFi signal both for 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz networks. It is one of the only products on the market to support 5Ghz as well as 2.4, which is important especially in marinas, where 2.4Ghz is saturated and barely usable. Pair this with an indoor router, and you have an excellent on board network.MikroTik software can be challenging to configure, but their products are very reliable, inexpensive, and extremely powerful.

Microtik wireless, what trash.
I'm in a rural environment, so there's no other 5Ghz noise around. I've used my UBNT gear to do a spectrum analysis to verify. I've tried every tuning feature and get the AC to reliability get anything better than 25Mbit while running in CAPsMAN mode. I love the idea of CAPsMan, but it really is slower than beans. Microtik makes great routers, but their wireless leaves a lot to be desired. My UBNT gear out of the box can do 250Mbit+ per tcp stream using iPerf. C'mon.

My RV Coverage
Wow! This is a fantastic product. Fortunately, however, I have a buddy that has used these for years. Using the Winbox.exe application, the configuration of this device is a snap. Just connect it to a PC and use a browser or the application to configure it. This has improved my wireless connection in my trailer by 300%. You have to work with your antenna, however. Currently, I'm using the elbow adapter that comes with it and laying the antenna horizontally rather than vertically. The performance enhancement was significant. I had to make micro adjustments to the direction it was pointed to get the maximum gain.

Nice improvement over other similar devices
We upgraded from our long term Badboy Xtreme and a Ubiquiti Bullet that arrived nonfunctional. We were able to quickly set it up using the web browser. There is an app as well but the web browser seems easier to use. The unit itself is high quality metal and comes with mounts and the antenna. The antenna doesn’t seem to be as high quality but should provide several years in the elements hopefully. The pictures show it on and mounted on our sailboat. Great for boats or RVs
